Celebrated Veteran Actor Loses Battle With Liver Disease

Nollywood actor Martin Njubuigo is reportedly to have passed on this past Friday September 30, 2016 after a long battle with liver disease.

The actor who is popularly known for roles such as elderly priests and medicine man is among the Nollywood actors who have contributed to the success of Nigerian movies for over 20 years only to helpless.

Although news about his death went viral on Friday, his son officially announced his family was mourning the death of their father on Saturday morning. Martin Njubuigo popularly known as Papa Labista is said to have been nursing swollen legs months before he met his death.

In other news, apparently Nigerian well-wishers raised about N1 milllion for his hospital bills but it is unclear whether the money was released or not. Martin Njubigbo is now the seventh Nollywood actor to die in 2016.
