People Doubt I Go To Church Because Of Pusher Role – Adjetey Annan
Award-winning Ghanaian actor, Adjetey Annan, has disclosed that people used to doubt if he attended church because of his ‘Pusher’ role back then.
According to him, he stated that he always got a surprised look from people when they see him in church.
Adjetey Annan was a very popular actor some years ago due to his tole as ‘Pusher’ in hit series ‘Things We Do For Love’.
He explained to Becky on EWITHBECKS on Joy Prime that because the role came with acting like a vagabond, people have their own perception of who he really is.
‘Things We Do for Love’ was an educative series targeted at the youths. It emphasized on the youth and how they lived their lives both at home and in school. As well as their parents also coming in their way, trying to put them on track so they don’t go astray.
In this story, Pusher (Adjetey Annan) played a lead and a vital role as the ‘area bad boy’. He was in a relationship with Dede but had other girlfriends he ‘played’ around with. He was also practically the cause of all troubles that emerged in the neighborhood.
The ‘swaged up gait’, the ‘bandana’ and the personality of ‘Pusher’ from back in the days were things to look forward to.
However, with over a decade after thrilling Ghanaians with the character, Adjetey Annan said people still assume that the bad boy traits exhibited in the series are real.
He said judging from the questions he is asked by frequently, people doubt if he is disciplined and well raised.
The revised version of ‘Things We Do For Love’ is now the TV series titled ‘You Only Live Once’ (YOLO).
It also features Adjetey Annan and Jackie Appiah as Enyornam.
