Be Original And Stop ‘Stealing’ Other’s Songs — Kofi Kinaata

Hiplife artiste, Kofi Kinaata advises his colleague musicians. Furthermore, it seems this advice is towards Kuami Eugene. Moreover, he says they have to stay original and stop taking samples from other artistes.

He said this in an interview on Connect FM’s ‘Adwomapamere’ mid-morning show with Mr El. Furthermore, the host prompted him to answer about musicians using other people’s music.

“Sometimes it is just by coincidence, you know, likely they say, great minds think alike. So it is possible to say things similar to what others have said in the past without knowing. If the same incidence happens twice consecutively, it’s got to be intentional.

If we do not know the song, it is hiding in an obscure corner, and it has to take some people to hunt for the original composers, then that is a clear insult to our intelligence and an attempt to look sharp.”
