GHAMRO Ordered Mr. Eazi To Pay GH5000 After Detty Rave Concert

Award-winning Nigerian Afrobeats musician, Mr. Eazi talks about GHAMRO. Moreover, he questioned whether the Ghana Music Rights Organisation (GHAMRO) actually gives the royalties due Ghanaian musicians to them. This is after he received a bill of about GH5000 from the organization for his recent ‘Detty Rave Concert’.

Furthermore, he took to Instagram to ask certain pertinent questions.

“The Ghamro monies I hope dem actually dey take give the artists!!! Dear artist have you ever received performance royalties?”.

A lot of people agreed with him about the practice of GHAMRO. This is because of the constant taking of monies from people does not pay the appropriate royalties to Ghanaian musicians.

The ‘Detty Rave Concert’ of Mr. Eazi saw him receive this bill from GHAMRO. It was a star-studded concert as Mr. Eazi was joined on stage by several musicians, some of who he’s had collaborations with and as well as some underground artists.
