Bulldog Reveals Why No Ghanaian Artist Has Attempted The London 02 Arena

Artistes Manager, Lawrence Nana Asiamah Hanson popularly known as Bulldog has shared

his views on why no Ghanaian artiste has attempted putiing up a show at the 02 Arena.

Nigerian Afrobeats star Davido’s sold out show at the London 02 Arena over the weekend

has opened a box of discussion among Ghanaian entertainment enthusiasts.

Davido is however not the first Nigerian to do so as his fellow Nigerian Wizkid first did it in May 2018.

Meanwhile, Ghana is yet to have any of its top artists make an attempt at headlining a show

at the 20,000 seater capacity auditorium.

This has led to a wide discussion across social media platforms with many pointing out what

could be the reason.

Although the opinions are diverse and scattered, Bulldog infers greed is the reason for the

inability of Ghanaian artists to attempt the venue.

According to the Artiste Manager and Head of Zylofon Music, Ghanaian artists could only achieve such feat “if and only if they’re unwilling to eat alone…”

Does that in anyway imply Ghanaian artists are greedy and want all the spoils for themselves?

Having worked with a large number of Ghanaian artists including Shatta Wale, 5 Five,

Ara B, Iwan, Bulldog could be speaking from a well informed angle and experience.

In a post on Facebook, Bulldog stated the “war” cannot be won until “the spoils of war”

are shared together with “the soldiers on the battlefield”.

“It is possible for a Ghanaian artist to fill the O2 Arena if and only if they’re unwilling to eat alone…

Even God didn’t create the world alone…

Until we learn to share the spoils of war together with the soldiers on the battlefield we will never win the war…

It is possible… let’s win together..” reads his post.

Creative Ministry Has No Creative Thinkers – Bulldog Jabs

Artiste manager Lawrence Asiamah Hanson, popularly known as Bulldog, says Ghana’s Creative Arts Ministry lacks creative thinkers.

Bulldog made the assertion via a Facebook post in what was a big jab to the tourism minister.

The post appears to be a swipe at the minister who Bulldog thinks likes to do the “wantful before the ‘needful’ “.

READ:https://www.ghafla.com/gh/shatta-wale-should-retire-from-music-bulldog/

His post on Facebook reads;

“Madam Minister,

I hope you are witnessing the happenings in South Africa… #GLOBALCITIZENFESTIVAL… #MANDELA100

Let me just remind you that Nkrumah is BIGGER than Mandela and his standing and dominion on the African continent is second to none…

but you see how Mandela’s people have found a way to honour him through entertainment…

Oh let me also prompt you, South Africa has all it takes to host the world… they did the needful before the ‘wantful’ (if there’s any word like that mpo)

We have two things we can package and sell to the world aside from our wasteful and unbeneficial natural resources…

NKRUMAH & PEACE are Ghana’s biggest selling points.

As wanna head die nu…

I sure say by now CAPTAIN AFEKU dey prepare go buy that franchise too anaa?

A creative ministry with no creative thinkers…”

Zylofon Doesn’t Hate Stonebwoy – Bulldog

Artiste Manager and Head of Zylofon Music, Bulldog has refuted reports suggesting

that the entertainment outfit hates its signee, Stonebowy.

According to Bulldog, born Lawrence Nana Asiamah Hanson, the dancehall artiste may have

personal issues with some people on the music label but that does not imply Zylofon Music

does not like him.

Bulldog was reacting to revelations by Artiste Manager and Entertainment critic, Mr Logic on

Daybreak Hitz on Hitz FM that R. Kelly and Teddy Riley had sent messages that they wanted

to collaborate with Stonebwoy, who is signed to Zylofon Music.

Mr Logic disclosed that Willie Roi, who is Artiste & Repertoire (A&R) Manager at

Zylofon Music, refused to pass on that information to Stonebwoy and his management.

Some industry persons and the general public have criticized Willie Roi and Zylofon Music for

the development. Some have even concluded that it shows the clear hatred some persons have

for the dancehall artiste.

Meanwhile, Stonebwoy’s time at Zylofon Music hasn’t been without drama.

In March this year, there was a nasty incident at the Champs Bar at Paloma which led to

Stonebwoy firing a warning shot after reports suggested that Bulldog allegedly tried to

seize the dancehall act’s car keys.

Stonebowy has also indicated in a recent interview that he has no plans of renewing the Zylofon Music contract he signed in June 2017.

This according to the ‘Bawasaba’ crooner is because all is not well at the label but Bulldog maintained there is no problem at the label.

“What you might think [is] a problem might not be a problem,” he said and added that, “let’s not make it like Zylofon hates Stonebwoy, Zylofon doesn’t.”

According to him, all issues between Stonebwoy and Zylofon Music “have been patched up.”

Bulldog stressed that “what Stonebwoy is saying now is more Willie Roi” and that, the Willie

Roi-Stonebwoy issue was way before Zylofon Music.

“Stonebwoy has the right to say that Willie Roi doesn’t like him,” he added.

Bulldog played a key role in the organization of Shatta Wale’s ‘Reign’ album launch

at the Fantasy Dome at the Trade Fair Centre in Accra on October 13.

After publicly declaring that he prevented Stonebwoy and Samini from performing at the

concert, because of security concerns, Bulldog interestingly revealed that he didn’t attend

Stonebwoy’s ‘Ashaiman to the World’ concert.

He however explained that “I had a family call…I can’t disclose that on air.”

That is why he was absent from the concert which was held at the Ashaiman

Sakasaka Park on Saturday, October 27.

Shatta Wale Cried Like A Baby When I Was Arrested – Bulldog Reveals

Controversial dancehall artiste, Shatta Wale in the eyes of the public is one hard nut that cannot easily be cracked.

Many perceive him as someone who possesses a very tough character that one will find it difficult to believe that he can even shed a tear.

But his former manager, Lawrence Hanson Asiamah, best known as Bulldog has revealed

that Shatta can be very soft just like any normal human being.

Bulldog made this revelation in an interview with Lexis Bills on ‘Behind The Fame’ show on Joy 99.7FM.

According to Bulldog, the ‘Gringo’ hitmaker sometimes easily breaks down.

Bulldog further revealed that he was shocked to see Shatta Wale cry uncontrollably when he

was in cells for the alleged murder of Fennec Okyere.

Bulldog was arrested in May 2014 after investigations by the Homicide Unit of the Police Criminal Investigative Department (CID) pointed to him as the prime suspect of the murder of Kwaw Kesse’s manager Fennec Okyre.

Fennec Okyere was killed at his Manet Gardens residence on the Spintex Road, Accra on Thursday, March 13, 2014, by unknown assailants. He died at age 31.

During his time behind bars, Bulldog said he was very strong during those tough times. However, there was someone who nearly made him break down in those times, and that person happens to be none other than Shatta Wale.

“actually realised that I was that strong. The only person who almost got me to be weak at that cell was Shatta Wale. The guy came there crying like a baby.”

I Laughed Over Claims Zylofon CEO Sacked Me – Bulldog

Artiste & Repertoire Manager at Zylofon Media, Bulldog, says he wasn’t disturbed by reports claiming he has been fired by Nana Appiah Mensah, CEO of Zylofon Media.

News of Nana Appiah sacking Bulldog, born Lawrence Nana Asiamah Hanson went strife on social media some

weeks ago.

According to the reports, Nana Appiah had given a sack letter to Bulldog, asking him to bring back any property in

his care belonging to the company.

However, Bulldog in an interview on Daybreak Hitz on Hitz FM Thursday, said he finds it difficult to fathom why his

“dismissal” would be such a big story for some people.

According to him, he did nothing but to laugh at those making the claims since he has no issues with his boss.

“If I was fired what be the problem? Boys take the thing World cup. Boys wan pull me down. When the issue came up I laughed.

There is no way you will shake Nana Appiah’s hands and you will not be blessed…[sic]” he told show host, Andy Dosty.

Meanwhile Nana Appiah himself through a tweet debunked such reports. He however confirmed that Bulldog is still carrying out his duties at his outfit.

Ghanaians Should Shut Up About Nana Appiah Mensah’s Source Of Wealth – Bulldog

Head of A&R for music at Zylofon Media, Hanson Nana Asiamah, aka Bulldog has sounded a strong warning to Ghanaians who are questioning the source of his boss’ wealth.

Bulldog on Celebrity Fanzone last Saturday said he couldn’t fathom why Ghanaians keep asking for the source of Nana Appiah Mensah’s wealth.

As a result, he bluntly stated that “Ghanaians should shut up” when he was asked by co-host Chantelle Asante how his boss is funding his numerous business ventures. He added that since no one knows the source of wealth of other business owners out there, then Ghanaians should as well stop’ hating’ on Nana Appiah and allow him do his works.

“Why are people concerned with the source of the guy’s money? Ghanaians should shut up. I don’t know where your boss is making his money from. I never ask. People should just shut up. We live in a space where we hate.”

“You see Nana Appiah Mensah is doing something that a lot of people had the opportunity to do, people who own media houses and all that and they did not do. All of a sudden, the gentleman is here and doing a lot of good stuff and everybody wants to descend on him,” Bulldog stated.

He, however, revealed that his boss has been a gold dealer for the last six years, cautioning against unnecessary suspicions.

“My boss is a gold dealer and he is been doing this since 2012. We question people unnecessarily. Somebody is here to help. We keep doing this and people would fold up,” he argued.

Nana Appiah Mensah is the CEO of Zylofon Media. Aside this, he has other numerous businesses including Menzgold among others.

However, the business mogul has been confronted with the same question time without number by a section of Ghanaians; the source of his wealth.

Being so young, yet so rich and business minded, Ghanaians could only think of how he made his money and how he’s able to fund his numerous investments.

But Bulldog will have none of those, describing his boss as the ‘Jesus Christ’ of our time.

“Nana Appiah Mensah is the ‘Jesus Christ’ of our time. What he is doing 61 years of Ghana’s independence nobody has done it and after him nobody will come like him,” he said.

(Photos) Shatta And Bulldog Finally Make Peace, Become ‘Friends’ Again

Many have been calling on the pair to make peace for some years now.

Rumors of the two finally burying the hatchet began weeks ago when they were caught in a photo together.

The rumors started prior to the signing of dancehall act Shatta Wale to the Zylofon Music family.

Before that, Bulldog, had already been signed as the Artistes and Repertoire Manager at Zylofon media.

Notwithstanding, the media later reported that Bulldog said he was forced to take that photo with Shatta Wale.

Meanwhile, considering the fact that, both are now signed onto the same media house, it’s more than likely for both to be seeing and working together more often.

Yet again, ghaflagh.com has chanced upon another sets of photos of the pair chatting and laughing heartily.

The images, captured by celebrity photographer Kwabena Awuku, of GH showbiz stalwarts Shatta Wale and Bulldog typifying the very aura of brotherly warmth.

In all, many believe their reunion was orchestrated by Zylofon Media boss, Nana Appiah Mensah.

Bulldog, born Lawrence Nana Asiamah Hanson was the former Manager of Shatta Wale(Charles Nii Armah Mensah Jnr).

The two had been the best of friends until they became foes in a feud.

None of them was actually able to explain what the feud was all about though.

Ghanaians had no choice than to watch as two great talents fight among each other.

However, with the news of both coming together once again, be sure to get nothing but the best from this pair.

Especially now that they’re both signed onto the same label.

The final hearing of the case took place on Wednesday, January 31, 2018 at the Accra Central District Court.

The court presided over by Worlanyo Kotoku said that the prosecution has been conspicuously absent in the matter. The court also held that the complainant had also been absent.

“Prosecution not here; complainant not here, at the last hearing date, prosecution has been conspicuously absent. I have no option than to discharge you” Mr. Kotoku noted.

The Prosecutor had over the weeks failed to make an appearance in the case. The court had at its previous siting ordered that Richard Gyambibi, the Senior State Attorney who wrote the advice on the case docket be summoned before the court to explain certain “coded” aspects of the advice.

The AG had advised that Bulldog, who also doubles as the CEO of Bull Haus Entertainment be discharged to enable further investigation in the three-year-old case. Although the court had summoned Mr. Gyembibi neither he nor the prosecutor was in court when the case was dismissed yesterday.

Fennec Okyere, then manager of Kwaw Kese, was killed at his home at Spintex in Accra in 2014.

Bulldog, who also doubles as the CEO of Bullhaus Entertainment has since been the prime suspect in the alleged murder case.

He was picked up by the Police Criminal Investigation Department (CID) in 2014 at Kokomlemle, a suburb of Accra, as a prime suspect in Okyere’s death.

Bulldog’s plea has not been taken even though per the police charge sheet, he has been charged with conspiracy to commit murder until an Accra High Court subsequently bailed him.

To Successfully Manage A Female Artiste, Date Her- Bulldog

Nana Asiama Hanson, best known in showbiz circle as Bulldog says if managers want to achieve success in their line of work with female artistes, then they need to establish sexual relationships with them.

Bulldog is the CEO of Bullhause Entertainment and doubles as artistes manager as well.

His comments is prior to recent complaints by some managers that female artistes are difficult to manage.

According to them, most female artistes work more with their emotions, complicating the smallest of issues.

As a pundit on the Daybreak Hitz on Hitz FM with Andy Dosty, Bulldog stated that being in an amorous relationship with the artiste creates a certain bond, making work easier.

Bulldog’s Comments

“Primarily, if you want to manage a female artiste successfully, you have to be in a relationship; an emotional relationship and a sexual relationship with the artiste,” he declared.

He was sure that “you won’t succeed if you don’t do that.”

Bulldog was however of the opinion that it becomes a problem when either of the two; the manager or artiste are married. Spending too much time working on productions causes attraction which may be a threat to marriages.

“I won’t encourage a married man to be managing a female artiste because he might ruin his marriage,” he suggested.

Bulldog, who once managed songstress Yaa Yaa, however, stated that despite his submission, he did not engage in any sexual relations with her.

He explained saying “it wasn’t like I was doing a day to day thing, but it was through Charterhouse, so they had the plan and I executed it.”

Bulldog has however been happily married for close to ten years now. A former Manager of dancehall artise, Shatta Wale and recently joined Zylofon media.

Telcos Must Pay Musicians Their Royalties –Bulldog

Artistes Manager, Bulldog, born Lawrence Nana Asiamah Hanson, has advised telecommunications (telcos) companies across the country to pay royalties to musicians.

Speaking on Daybreak Hitz on Hitz FM with host  Andy Dosty, Bulldog underscored the need for the Telcos’ to introduce a Data Levy Fee that would pay musicians upfront for marketing their songs.

According to him, the telecommunications company make huge revenues from the works of the musicians so couldn’t fathom out why they will turn a blind eye to them.

“We didn’t have this digital world then when it started. I beg of them to introduce a data levy fee for the Telcos, even if it’s 3 billion annually. They should pay upfront to the musicians because it’s their platform that is carrying most of these stuffs to the pirates to do their work…” he said.

Telecommunication companies throughout the country one way or the other utilize works of artistes to market their products in the public domain.

The terms and agreement between Telcos and musicians on how they would be paid royalties is unclear which is in sharp contrast of what happens abroad.

He added that, “If it’s not like that, we will be seasonal. We can’t work. They make a chunk of the money from that and it’s about time they put in the work…” he stressed.

Bulldog further urged musicians to unite and fight for their royalties from the telcos.

“We need to sensitize our musicians. It’s high time we start using our brains. That’s all we have. All the resources can deplete but the mind is what God gave us. That’s what the creative people use. There is a perception that musicians don’t pay tax it’s a huge lie…” he advised.

Bulldog To Be Discharged Over Alleged Murder of Fennec Okyere

Gloria Akuffo, the Attorney General of Ghana, has stated that the state is not interested in prosecuting Lawrence Asiama Hanson, known as Bulldog, over the alleged murder of Fennec Okyere.
Led by Chief Inspector Simon Apoirsornu, the AG has advised that Bulldog be discharged and freed in order to enable further investigation.

He said the advise was addressed to the Director- General of the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) of the Police Service adding that the caution given to the CID was that the said advise should not be filed at the court.
Chief Inspector Apiorsornu indicated that the advise to the CID Director-General was covered under the Privileges Act, Section 100 of the Evidence Act. However, the Defense lawyer, Jerry Avenogbor, disagrees stressing that Section 100 of the evidence Act indicates that privilege information is between professionals and their clients like lawyers and doctors.

He told the court presided over by Worlanyo Kotoku that his client was incarcerated for a while but the judiciary saw the need to bail him because the police investigation led to nothing.
Mr. Avenogbor was worried that the prosecution has been asking for adjournments which he said has been “hindering the administration of justice”.

The trial magistrate however ordered that Richard Gyambibi, the Senior State Attorney who wrote the advise be summoned before the court to explain the aspects of the advice covered by privilege. Sitting continues on October 12. Bulldog is standing trial for his alleged involvement in the death of Fennec Okeyre. He was picked up by the Police Criminal Investigation Department (CID) in 2014 at Kokomlemle as a prime suspect in Okyere’s death.
We hope that the investigation into the matter is resolved and the real perpetrators of this heinous crime are brought to book.
