DJ Switch Donates To New Born Babies On Her Birthday(VIDEO)

Ghana’s youngest female DJ, Erica Tandoh, popularly known as DJ Switch turned 11-years-old on December 12, 2018.

As part of her birthday activities, the award-winning youngster paid a visit to the Buduburam

Hospital in Accra.

In the name of her foundation, ‘DJ Switch Foundation’ she donated some items to babies born

at the hospital on the same day as hers.

Taking to her Instagram page, she shared videos of her visit to the hospital with her fans.

She captioned the video, “Today is the day I was brought into the world to be a blessing and inspiration to the Universe. Thank you Lord for making me a wonderful person in your own image.

Meanwhile, DJ Switch prior to her birthday when asked by Anita Erskin during the 2018

AFRIMA awards what she would like for her birthday she mentioned Range Rover as the gift

on her birthday.

She was also in the news when she joined Bill Gates and other top dignitaries for Goalkeepers

2018 in the United States of America (USA).

During the ceremony, she performed for French President Emmanuel Macron, Bill Gates and others.

I Want A Range Rover As My 11th Birthday Gift – DJ Switch Tells Fans

It was an unforgettable moment when Ghana’s youngest DJ Erica Tandoh, popularly known as

DJ Switch climbed the stage at the just ended AFRIMA.

The award-winning DJ, after her spectacular performance for the night was asked by the

host when she would turn 11-years old.

After revealing 12th December as the date, Anita Erskine, the host for the program further

asked the budding DJ what she wants as a birthday gift.

DJ Switch did not mince words as she made her bold request.

“I want a Range Rover,” the young girl put it bluntly.

DJ Switch’s request, being a huge and unexpected one from a 10-year-old, had the audience shouting and giggling in surprise.

DJ Switch Vying For Entertainment Prefect Position In School

Award-winning young DJ, Switch is campaigning to be her school’s entertainment prefect.

The 10-year-old DJ, born Erica Tandoh, due to her passion for entertainment is hoping

to be the entertainment prefect of Talented Royals School in Weija.

Merqury Quaye, Talent and Public Relations Manager of DJ Switch made this known when

he was reacting to concerns that the young DJ is not taking her schooling seriously.

Refuting the reports, Mr Quaye said DJ Switch, who is currently in Class 5 “is very much paying attention to school.”

“She is currently in school campaigning to be entertainment prefect. She will read her manifesto tomorrow,” he added.

Merqury Quaye also revealed that apart from schooling, the young DJ is also actively involved in activism.

He said DJ Switch on Monday, October 15 led over 20,000 kids during the Global Handwashing Day celebration in Accra.

“DJ Switch I must tell you is doing great in school. She is passing all her exams” Quaye said.

DJ Switch was recently in New York for the Goalkeepers 2018 ceremony.

The young DJ, who won the Talented Kidz Season 8, was among guests at the Goalkeepers 2018 event.

 

American Actress Gabrielle Union Expresses Her Love For DJ Switch(Tweet)

Ghana’s youngest DJ, Erica Tandoh, best known as DJ Switch recently made Ghana proud when she featured on the world largest news broadcaster, BBC Africa.

The 10-year-old has already achieved a lot and keeps making herself and Ghana proud whenever she faces the console.

Her  fan-base continues to expand as her feature on BBC has also added more fans, both locally and internationally.

A great American actress, Gabrielle Union Wade is one of such international fans of the young DJ.

In response to the later’s feature on British broadcaster, the ‘Being Mary Jane’ actress took to twitter to express her love for Switch.

She tweeted;

This is surely a big plus for ‘Discovery of the Year’ winner at the 2018 Ghana DJ Awards.

Switch gained mainstream acclaim with her performances in TV3’s Talented Kidz Season 8 in 2017 – emerging as the winner at the finale.

The feature on BBC Africa‘s What’s New – a new show covering stories for young people in Africa finds Switch talking about her come up, sharing five top tips on how to become a great DJ, amongst other issues.

Disc Jockeying Is My Talent, But My Dream Is To Become A Gynecologist

Ghana’s youngest DJ, Erica Tandoh, popularly knows as DJ Switch has revealed that she aims to become a gynecologist in future.

She pointed out that women, especially mothers face so many issues during childbirth and more.  She therefore has hopes of becoming a gynecologist to help curb these problems.

“Women, in general, suffer many infections with their genitals. Also, I want to help our mothers, especially during childbirth, hence my career choice”, she said

Asked if she will quit disc jockeying to pursue her dreams, she explained DYing is her passion which she cannot put an end to.

“This is my God-given talent and it is passion driven. Though I want to be a gynecologist, I have no intention of quitting disc jockeying. Gynecology is a career and disc jockeying is a talent”, she stated.

DJ Switch made history few days ago as the youngest ever winner at the 6th annual Ghana DJ Awards.

The vivacious performer was named “Discovery of the Year” following her astounding feats in the year under review. This also includes her appearances on some of the nation’s biggest stages.
