Ghanaian actor and entrepreneur, John Dumelo and his wife Gifty Mawunya Nkornu have had an official ceremony to outdoor and name their son.

The couple welcomed their first child somewhere in October 2018 and had hinted that the little boy will bear the name John Dumelo Junior.

However, following the customary in many parts of Ghana, John has organized an outdooring ceremony

had to be held to officially name the baby.

The ceremony however came off on Saturday with the presence of many of Dumelo’s acting

colleagues including Yvonne Nelson, Yvonne Okoro, and Nadia Buari.

Wearing white outfits the couple looked sharp and exquisite at the outdooring ceremony.

Furthermore, Mrs Dumelo was spotted with some beautiful ladies including Nadia who is

known to be Gifty’s very good friends rejoicing in another video.

The fine ladies had literally turned the event into a fashion show as they went on a catwalk

challenge.

Nadia who looked beautiful in her pink dress was just as excited as Dumelo’s wife who was the last person to hit the makeshift runway.

Gifty Mawunya, wife of actor and aspiring politician, John Dumelo has sent a lovely birthday message to her husband to mark John adding another milestone.

The award-winning actor turned 35-years-old yesterday, February 3, 2019.

In celebration of her husband, Madam Mawunya shared some lovely photos and videos of some of the memorable times spent with her husband on Instagram page.

Spicing up the message, Mrs. Dumelo added a very powerful prayer binding all her husband’s

foes with the blood of Jesus whiles praying for more success for him.

She also expressed in her post how lucky she is to have John Dumelo as a husband revealing

her deep and everlasting love to her ‘prince charming’ whiles tagging him as the best father and

Ghana’s finest actor and entrepreneur, John Dumelo turned 35 years yesterday, February 3, 2019.

To mark the day, John Dumelo gave back to society by spending time and gifting some items to

widows in Okponglo area of East Legon, Accra.

The aspiring politician in the National Democratic Congress(NDC) party, however, took to

social media to announce how happy his day was.

Sharing some photos of his visit to some of the widows, John wrote;

“Its been an emotional morning.

Prolific actor, John Dumelo has made some revelation about his relationship with his

wife which led to their marriage and hence the birth of their child.

John Dumelo shocked Ghanaians to the core when he got married to Gifty Mawunya Nkornu on 12th May 2018.

The two however welcomed their first child, John Dumelo Junior six months after their unexpected marriage.

There were rumors after the wedding of how John had jilted one Frances, who happens

to be the cousin of his colleague actor James Gardiner.

Taking his turn on the Yvonne Okoro’s cooking show ‘Dining with Cooks and Braggarts’

John opened up about how his wife became pregnant and his marriage.

According to the aspiring politician, his wife’s pregnancy just happened because he didn’t plan  for it.

John  further admitted on the show that, he was dating James Gardiner’s cousin,

Frances before meeting his wife.

Detailing his relationship with Gifty Mawunya now Mrs Dumelo, he said that he knew her for

a couple of years and they were just friends because Gifty was also dating somebody else by then.

The prolific actor did not, however, mention if he broke up with Frances before starting any relationship with Gifty but he stated that “things just did not go on well”.

Speaking about his marriage which came as a surprise to dozens of his fans and with reports that he never informed his ex of his the upcoming nuptials, John said that he actually informed Frances before tying the not.

“Well I did, I think it’s just the honourable thing to do, just to say this is what it is,” he told Yvonne Okoro.

He also added that at the time of informing Frances about his marriage, they weren’t dating.

Actor John Dumelo has revealed that he is not only poised to become a good politician but a good father as well.

According to him, he helps his wife, Gifty Mawuenya to take care of Junior Dumelo.

that he breastfeeds and changes his baby’s diapers whenever he is home and duty calls.

John’s revelation however follows a question asked by host, Yvonne about his role in raising their newborn baby.

He even demonstrated on the show that he’s got a lot of breasts milk by shaking his chest.

Dumelo and wife, Mawuenya tied the knot somewhere in 2018 and mysteriously gave welcomed their first child after 6 months of marriage.

Awards-winning actor cum entrepreneur, John Dumelo has said that the Africa continent can be the bread basket of the whole world.

John believes the whole world should be feeding from the palms of Africans because of the continent’s vast natural resource base.

In a passionate call to the African youth however, he charged as many as are capable

to consider venturing  into agriculture.

John particularly noted that the future of the continent’s economy is linked to the

exploration of this sector.

Mr. Dumelo was however expressing his views on agriculture in Ghana and Africa as a whole in a post on Instagram.

A portion on his posts reads;

“A vibrant, sustainable and resilient agriculture sector is vital for sub-Saharan

Africa’s economic future. Africa is home to nearly half of the world’s uncultivated land that can be brought into production.”

News of actor John Dumelo and wife welcoming their first child barely six months after marriage took Ghanaians off their feet yesterday October 16, 2018.

John and his wife, Gifty Mawunya Nkornu Dumelo welcomed their bundly of joy, a

baby boy not long ago, though the specific date of delivery is not public yet.

However, John Dumelo broke the news to his followers and the entire world by

publishing a photo of his son in his arms on his Instagram page yesterday.

Actor John Dumelo is now the proud father of a bouncing baby boy.

John and his wife, Gifty Mawunya Nkornu Dumelo, got married in a private

ceremony in Accra about five months ago.

The wedding which took place on May 12, 2018 was attended by well-known personalities

including former president John Dramani Mahama, Ramsey Nouah, Nadia Buari,

Yvonne Nelson, Jackie Appiah, among others.

Dumelo however confirmed the news of the birth of his son through a post on Photo-

sharing app Instagram on Tuesday October 16.

It’s however unclear when the actor’s wife delivered but Ghaflagh.com gathered that

she gave birth to a baby boy – John Dumelo Jnr.

An obviously proud Dumelo in a lengthy post welcomed his son with a little bit of

advice to him concerning his journey through this world.

His post reads;

“John Jnr @johnd_jnr I’m glad you have finally arrived. It’s been months, weeks, days and hours of waiting…..You look just like we imagined. Infectious smile, bright eyes, curly hair and chocolate skin.

Before I get all emotional and write a whole book, lemme let you have these few words to guide you.

You can do anything you want and be whoever you want to be just like how my dad allowed me to explore….

Actor, entrepreneur and ‘Politician’, John Dumelo has hit back at his accusers that he’s an idol worshiper.

According to him, he is not an idol worshiper but a proud catholic, a church whose doctrines have brought him thus far and is taking him farther.

John’s comment follows accusations by some social media users that he’s an idol worshiper.

Mr Dumelo has been on holidays in Montreal in Canada. Being an avid Catholic, he posted a picture of himself kneeling in front of the crucifix in a Catholic church.

However, he was back-lashed on social media and tagged with ‘idol worshiping’.

The accusations have gotten to a point where he has decided to clear the air on the matter and his faith.

“I usually don’t respond to ‘negative ‘ comments on Instagram but these set of comments need clarification. I posted a picture of myself touching the feet of a statue Christ in a church in Montreal.

Some people said it’s idol worshipping. Some said it’s blasphemy and others too said it’s occultism. If we all turn our bibles to Matthew 9:20–22, it’s talks about a woman touching the robe of Jesus to be healed.

She said “ If I can just touch his robe, I will be healed”. That was her faith. And her faith healed her. When we go to certain churches these days, anointing oil, water etc are sold.

Some are asked to pray over these and apply them to be healed. What about those that touch Tv’s to be healed? Is that idol worshipping? Is that occultism?

No, it’s all in your faith. Faith is such a big influence if used correctly. I’m a proud Catholic and I will never be ashamed of that.

My Catholic beliefs and principles have brought me this far and it’s taking me further. We all believe in one God. No need to judge. God bless us all”.

Ghanaian actor and entrepreneur, John Dumelo has been the talk of town for some days now.

This follows his plush wedding to his long time girlfriend, Mawunya weeks ago.

The actor has over the years become a houselhold name and has won some accolades for himself.

He is a strong member of the opposition NDC party.

Mr. Dumelo, just like most celebrities, has made quite a number of headlines, both positive and negative.

He has come under a lot of ridicules and accusations from some individuals.

Nonetheless, he continues to be a strong pillar, flourishing in all his endeavors.

Perhaps, all these are some of the reasons a fan asked him what motivates him in life.

“What motivates u the most,” a fan by name, Kadri Abdul Somed asked him via Twitter.

John Dumelo’s answer to this question, was however a shocking one.

The actor has indicated what motivates him in life are the attacks by people especially on social media.

“When people say negative things bout me,” he replied.

To him, they are a source of motivation and encouragement rather than dream killers.

Prolific Ghanaian actor, John Dumelo on Saturday tied the knot with his girlfriend, Gifty Mawunya, in a plush wedding ceremony in Accra.

The wedding ceremony is without doubts a lavish one which attracted a number of top Ghanaian and Nigerian celebrities.

It could so far be referred to as the biggest celebrity wedding of the year.

Ex-president John Dramani Mahama was also there to grace the memorable occasion.

Photos and videos of the wedding have flooded the various social media platforms. One notable among them is the ring John gave his wife.

The beautiful ring as spotted on Instagram is patterned with mini diamond prongs on it. The band of the ring also appears to be made of gold shank.

It is not clear the real price of such a beautiful diamond ring.  However, an article by Ghanafuo.com indicates that Dumelo’s ring to his wife, Gifty is estimated to cost between GHC10,000-GHC15,000.

According to them, the estimated price of the engagement ring was arrived at after countless research online. As well as after contacting some shops across the country.

Ghanaians witnessed what can be termed so far as the celebrity wedding of the year between actor, John Dumelo and his wife, Gifty Mawunya over the weekend.

The colorful and plush traditional marriage ceremony came off at Nkornu in Accra.

The new couple, have since been the talk of the nation, making headlines here and there.

Though not opened to the public, the ceremony was well attended by close friends and families of the couple.

Some top celebrities from Nigeria and Ghana also flooded the Lashibi residence of  Mawunya’s parents for the ceremony.

Former President, John Dramani Mahama, who happens to be a good friend of John Demelo was also there to grace the occasion.

Mawunya is the younger sister of actress Selassie Ibrahim and a bestie of actress Nadia Buari, who was also at the ceremony.

She’s also a trained lawyer who usually base in the UK. Reports have it that she also has some connections to the NDC and former President, John Dramani Mahama.

However, the couple after getting married last Saturday, were in church for the first time as couple.

They visited the Dominion Chapel to thank God for seeing them through a successful marriage.

With both clad in an all white outfit, the couple looked lovely and splendid. From their smiles alone, one could easily tell that they’re happy.

Meanwhile, it is not known if the couple would officially have a white wedding after the traditional ceremony.

However, looking at their plush traditional marriage, we’re sure their white wedding, if they decide to have one could as well be termed the Ghana ‘Royal Wedding’ of our time.

Awards-winning Ghanaian actor John Dumelo has made the list of 2017 African Social Media Power Report most followed Africans on social Media.

He placed 8th in the top ten most followed Africans on Facebook with a total of 5.1million followers.

This could however mean that John Dumelo is possibly the most followed Ghanaian entertainer on Facebook in Ghana.

Meanwhile Senegalese rapper Akon and Egyptian striker Mohamed Salah are the two most followed Africans on the social media channels. This includes Instagram, Facebook and Twitter, according to the African Social Media Power Report: Top 50 Footballers and Entertainers. The list was released on Friday, January 26, 2018.

The Power 50 has a combined following of almost 400million. A number that is more than half the population of Europe and twice the population of Nigeria, Africa’s most populated country.

The Power 50 weighs the social media influence of African pop culture stars and football personalities. It was compiled by Lagos-based sports communication company, CampsBay Media.

“In a world where social media continues to play a big role, the influence of African entertainers and footballers, the crème of popular culture on our continent, continues to fascinate and that is why we have compiled this list,” said Lolade Adewuyi, chief strategist at CampsBay Media.

“We have tried as much as possible to gather the top African pop and sport stars into the list in order to show their influence across the three key social media platforms of Instagram, Facebook and Twitter. We hope that the Power Report will be an annual ranking to gauge their growing impact as well as enable market planners and researchers to see the possibilities inherent in their influence.”

On the list are personalities from 12 countries. Filling the top 10 places are Akon, Salah, footballer Didier Drogba, Moroccan stand-up comedian Gad el Maleh. There are also; South African comedian and TV show host Trevor Noah, Cameroonian footballer Samuel Eto’o. Moroccan actor Jamel Debbouze, Nigerian singer Davido and South African actress Charlize Theron are inclusive.

On the African Social Media Power Report: Top 50 are 13 actors/actresses, 14 singers, nine rappers, eight footballers, four comedians and two music producers/DJs.

Ghanaian actor John Dumelo has received an honorary  ‘prophetic cake’ on his visit to Zambia.

The actor, took to his official Instagram page to share the gift with his fans and followers.

He posted a picture of himself receiving the ‘presidential cake’ confirming his ambitions to become President of Ghana one day. Under the picture was the caption; “I was presented with this lovely cake on my arrival to Zambia….#humbled”.
