Former Beauty Queen Ties The Knot(PHOTOS)

Former Ghanaian beauty queen Jennifer Victoria Koranteng tied the knot with her long

time sweet heart Miffy over the weekend at a private ceremony in Accra.

Jennifer Koranteng is a former beauty pageant contestant. Jennifer was first runner-up at Miss Ghana 2006 and she went on to become Miss Universe Ghana in 2009. She further represented Ghana at the Miss Universe pageant later that same year in the Bahamas.

The occasion was well graced by an important personality like ex-president John Mahama.

She is also the founder and creative lead of African fashion brand JVK Clothing.

Jeniffer thus becomes the latest celebrity to tie the knot this year after Sarkodie, Eddie

Nartey, Becca, Sammy Forson, Ameyaw Debrah, John Dumelo, etc.

Abeiku Santana Mentors Miss Ghana 2018 Finalists(PHOTO)

As is done every year, some personalities are selected to mentor the contestants of the Miss

Ghana pageantry almost show every week.

For this year’s event, ace media personality Abeiku Santana was one of the mentors for

the finalists of the event last week.

The mentorship programme, was held at the Cooker’s Delight in Accra.

The topic centered on media etiquette and the contestants were taken through all

they need to know about the media, including how to speak and react to issues in the media space.

Abeiku spoke at large, dissecting every point raised by him. The ladies in return engaged the

celebrated radio presenter.

They asked pertinent questions in reference to the topic to prepare themselves for

their engagements with the media before and after the pageant.

About The Grand Finale

Meanwhile, the grand finale for this year’s Miss Ghana pageant will take place at the Accra Marriott Hotel

on Saturday, September 29, 2018 at 7:00pm.

It will however be under the theme: ‘Evolution of Beauty’ and it will be parading 10

contestants who  are representing each region of Ghana.

During the night, judges will be looking out for beauties with brains, character and

commitment to serve the homeland Ghana.

Among musicians to grace the Miss Ghana 2018 with their anticipated pulsating performances

are Gyedu Blay Ambolley, ace saxophonist Steve Bedi and a surprise artiste.

Over the past weeks, the ladies have been engaging in different activities, including the

mentorship programmes.

Lister Hospital & Fertility Centre also held a medical screening for all the contestants,

a tour of the facilities, among others.

The facilities will provide health support for the Miss Ghana 2018 winner and her two

runner-ups, comprising two free GP consultations.

It will also provide one gynecologist wellness screening after the event and two

free consultations with Dr Edem Hiadzi every quarter when necessary.

Organizers Of Miss Ghana Pageant Accept Margaret Dery’s Resignation

The management of Exclusive Events Ghana, organizers of the Miss Ghana Beauty Pageant have gladly accepted the resignation of Margaret Dery, the winner of the 2017 edition in good faith.

A statement by Exclusive events stated that the;

“Management of Exclusive Events Ghana are very focused and ever determined to use the Miss Ghana Beauty Pageant

to help the poor,

needy and the vulnerable in rural areas and deprived communities and absolutely nothing can distract us from this noble journey.

“Exclusive Events Ghana Gladly Accepts the Resignation of Margaret Dery.

It has come to our attention through the media that the winner of the 2017 edition of the Miss Ghana beauty pageant Margaret Dery has resigned.

It concluded that “Exclusive Events Ghana gladly accepts the resignation of Margaret Dery”.

 “The management of Exclusive Events Ghana,

the organizers of the Miss Ghana beauty pageant have gladly accepted the resignation of Margaret Dery in good faith”.

Organizers went on and wished the 2017 winner, Miss Margaret Mwintuur Dery success in her next career.

“We wish Margaret Dery well in her next career

and we do pray that she will uphold the ethics of professionalism,

respect for contracts as well as show the necessary respect to the new authority she finds herself under.”

Miss Dery was crowned on Saturday, October 7, 2017. She however, tendered in her resignation letter to organizers of the event on Tuesday, July 31, 2018. This according to her is because the whole pageantry is a scam.

In the letter, she requested Exclusive Events Ghana to reconsider the implementation plan as she is unable to continue with the projects assigned her.

Meanwhile, Exclusive Events Ghana will on August 2, 2018 launch the 2018 edition of the pageant.
