The publication describes this year’s list as its most comprehensive yet, writing:

“The 2018 FORBES AFRICA Under 30 is our authentic and most definitive list of Africa’s most promising young change-makers. This year is our fourth edition of the list and for the first time, inspired by the growing number of young men and women entrepreneurs, we have expanded it to bring you 30 game-changers, all under the age of 30, in each three sectors – business, technology and creative. The 90 in total are challenging conventions and rewriting the rules for the next generation of entrepreneurs, creatives and tech gurus.

“We put in months of rigorous research, sifting through over 600 nominations, vetting them for weeks, verifying and investigating them. We favored entrepreneurs with fresh ideas and took into account their business size, revenue, location, potential, struggles, social impact and resilience.

A panel of judges then debated the final 90. You may not know many of their names now and they may not be richest people in Africa, but they could be the billionaires of tomorrow gracing our future covers. This compilation is exciting, inspiring and offers a sneak peek into Africa’s future. Meet the class of 2018. The list is in no particular order,” Forbes Africa explained.

#Number12: Anas Exposing Corrupt Officials Is A Good Cause – Sarkodie

Celebrated Ghanaian Rapper, Sarkodie has praised the efforts of ace investigative Journalist, Anas Aremeyaw Anas on his consistency at fighting corruption.

The ‘End Time’ rapper in a live Facebook session over the weekend also endorsed Anas’ modus operandi.

According to Sark, he supports Anas’ method because it puts one on his toes.

Meanwhile, Anas’ method of gathering evidence has been questioned by Hon. Kennedy Agyapong.

But the SarkCess Music Boss seems to concord with majority of Ghanaians who see nothing wrong with it.

“Anas is exposing corruption which we all support. I think it’s very good. You know, he puts people on their toes,” stated Sarkodie.

“It makes you not want to cut corners because you don’t know who is watching. So I support it … For now I think he is on the right path.”

He however declined to comment on the ranging controversy between Anas and Kennedy Agyapong, Assin Central MP.

Anas’ latest exposé is about the corruption amongst top officials in Ghanaian football circles. Titled ‘Number 12’ it will be screened on Wednesday, June 6 and Thursday June 7, 2018.

He has a two-year old daughter, Adalyn Owusu Addo, also called Titi with his long time girlfriend Tracy.

The three have been giving us some couple goals on the various social media platforms once in a while.

It is said that, whatever you want your child to be, pronounce that on his/her life whiles they’re still young.

Sarkodie Makes A Shocking Revelation Of Something He Has Mastered Over The Years As A Rapper

Multiple awards-winning Ghanaian rapper, Sarkodie, has disclosed a new skill he has developed over the years as a rapper. as a result of his many years in the music industry.

A report by zionfelix.net, says the King of Raps revealed that he has become so familiar with some rap lines that he can literally predict words to be used by a musician.

He further stated that “I deal a lot with rhyming so if you say aboa, I expect you to follow it with akoa.”

The ‘Hope’ crooner noted that he is able to detect the pattern of a song, and consequently guess the next word. This is even if he is listening to the song for the first time.

Sarkodie is a prolific musician who has carved a niche for himself in the Ghana music industry. He has since the year 2007, become a force to reckon with when it comes to raps in Ghana.

He has however admitted that only one musician has been able to

At the, he however admitted that only one musician has been able to ‘outfox’ him. He disclosed this during the recently held listening of singer Akwaboah’s new album, ‘Matters Of The Heart’

That musician is no other person than the Sarkcess Music signed artiste, Strongman.

Patapaa Has A Strong Brand – Sarkodie

Swedru-based artiste, Patapaa Amisty has become a subject of mockery since his lost at the just ended VGMAs.

At first, he was mocked for the suit he wore to the event. And then secondly, his big lost at the night.

However, multiple awards-wining rapper, Michael Owusu Addo better known Sarkodie has some words of comfort to the ‘One Corner’ hitmaker.

According to Sark, anyone who has an insight about branding will bear with him that Patapaa has a very strong brand.

“That Patapaa brand is strong and if you know very well about branding you will agree … He keeps it organic,” he tweeted.

Perhaps, this is all Patapaa needs to hear to be able to bounce back into action.

We awaits his response since we know Sarkodie is one person Patapaa doesn’t joke with.

Yvonne Okoro To Settle The ‘Jollof Rice Contest’ Between Sarkodie And Davido

Awards-winning actress and producer, Yvonne Chinyere Okoro has extended an open invitation to Sarkodie and Davido to cook jollof on her cooking show.

Yvonne is currently hosting the TV Show ‘Dining with Cooks And Braggarts’ which shows on GHOne TV.

The invitation, which came through social media (Twitter) is to prove which of the two music icons cooks the best Jollof.

However, they are yet to openly accept Yvonne Okoro’s invitation.

Yvonne’s invitation follows an earlier open challenge from rapper Sarkodie to Nigerian superstar Davido on Twitter. to put him and Davido in a kitchen in a bid to end the long jollof ‘war’ between their respective countries.

Flashback

It all started with a tweet from South African rapper Cassper Nyovest. Nyovest, whiles in Ghana hinted that he couldn’t tell which of these two countries’ Nigeria and Ghana’s jollof he loves best.

“Don’t know if I love Ghanaian or Nigerian jollof rice more…. what’s your preference?” he asked his followers on Twitter.

Davido replied his tweet by saying, “Looooool na we get the sauce oo”, literally meaning Nigerians cook the best jollof.

Cassper responded to Davido by adding, “Hahaha… Had some lit jollof at Davido’s house actually. Called him the next day like WHA??? @iam_Davido,” he tweeted.

But Sarkodie, who was definitely not amused, replied the tweets by saying, “Forget bro … you had no choice … You need options … hit me up I can even make you the best jollof cook via voice note.”

“No need for this bro just put me and Davido in the kitchen,” he added.

However, the Davido ran from kitchen challenge and rather called for a music challenge in the studio.

“Forget this one let’s do gbedu Competiton… make studio turn kitchen lmao,” he said in a tweet.

Back to the present;

But interestingly, Yvonne Okoro, who is a Ghanaian actress of Nigerian descent has waded into the ‘Jollof War’. waded into the argument with her open invitation to the two musicians to come on her cooking show to settle their difference.

“Helloooo….Come to my kitchen…What do you say???Let’s see who WINS @sarkodie @davidoofficial #diningwithcooks&braggarts,” she said on Instagram and Twitter.

As was to be expected, her invitation has attracted scores of comments from fans of both artistes. Many are calling on the two musicians to honor the invitation. But both artistes are yet to respond to Yvonne Okoro’s invitation though.

The ‘Jollof war’ between Ghanaians and Nigerians has always been an epic fun fight. It has revolved into many diverse means of challenges over the years and it doesn’t appear to end anytime soon.

We sure can’t wait to see these two great acts battling it in the kitchen. Perhaps, the winner will finally draw the curtains on the Ghana Vrs Nigeria Jollof War.

Davido Fires Sarkodie’s Fan For Comparing Him To The Rapper

As reported earlier, Sarkodie, the best rapper in Africa threw a Jollof cooking contest to Nigerian singer Davido on Twitter.

This comes after Cassper Nyovest who is currently in Ghana stated he is having a hard time choosing between  Nigerian and Ghana Jollof.

We all know the ‘Jollof’ battle between Ghanaians and Nigerians and how far that has gone.

Cassper, in a tweet further stated he enjoyed a Jollof when he visited Nigeria at Davido’s house and it was the best.

“Hahaha..Had some lit Jollof at Davido’s house actually. Called him the next day like WHA???.”

Davido replied by tweeting;

“Looooool na we get the sauce oo”

However, Sarkodie weighed in and sarcastically stated that Nyovest ate it because he had no choice. As a result,  Sark threw a Jollof cooking challenge at Davido.

“Forget bro … you had no choice… You need options… hit me up I can even make you the best jollof via voice note”

Davido on the other hand responded but wants the competition to be at the studio.

He tweeted,

“Forget this one, let’s do gbedu competition.. make studio turn to kitchen lmao“.

It’s obvious that when celebrities are playing, their fans will definitely jump in.

That was exactly what one fan, believed to be for Sarkodie did. However, the fan decided to let go of the cooking aspect and to jab Nigerian act Davido. He also tweeted:

“Davido at your singing field, you’re not even the best in Africa. Sark is currently the best rapper in Africa. Lol. Conquer your field first so we talk about this.”

The Nigerian superstar also did not let this comment pass. He replied the fan asking him to shut up and go work for his daughter imade.

“No, let’s talk about your face first! Coming from someone with zero achievements! shutup and go and work for imade”

Sarkodie Finally Confirms Castro Dead?

Award-winning rapper, Michael Owusu Addo, best known as Sarkodie is causing some kind of uproar on social media.

A tweet about long lost Ghanaian musician Theophilus Tagoe aka Castro by the BET award winner is causing confusion among Ghanaians on social media.

Castro and his girlfriend, Janet Badu, both disappeared on July 6, 2014. Both were using jet skis during a holiday with Asamoah Gyan’s family and other colleagues at a resort in Ada.

Since then, no one has heard anything about their disappearances. Some Ghanaians however believe that they’re probably dead. Others have alleged that Castro is in another African country and would return at the opportune time.

However, Sarkodie in a tweet shared a video of one of his performances abroad on the song ‘Adonai’. Adonai is one of Sark’s bangers which featured Castro.

The confusion however about the tweet is Sark’s caption which reads; “connection… RIP Castro”.  The acronym, RIP we all understand to mean Rest In Peace and is usually used for the dead.

Hence many people who saw this are querying if the ‘Highest’ album maker is confirming that the “Siehor” hitmaker is dead.

In defense a fan however commented that “RIP” in Sarkodie’s tweet meant, “Return If Possible”. However, most of the fans who replied to the tweet would have none of that.

Meanwhile, Sarkodie in one of his interviews revealed that ‘Adonai’ brought him a lot of deals and gave him the opportunity to perform on many stages both in and outside the country.

He however revealed that he might not be able to produce another song of “Adonai’s” qualities because he was not cut out for that kind of music.

Sark’s tweet below;

Video: I Am Least Perturbed When People Say I’m Illuminati – Sarkodie

Awards-winning Ghanaian Rapper, Sarkodie says he’s no at all worried about rumors of him being a member of the secret society, Illuminati.

Illuminati refers to several groups of both real and fictitious secret society perceived to be controlling events in the world.

It is believed that members possess the deep secrets to acquiring wealth, fame and influence.

He has been rumored to be a member of the secret society since he hit the limelight.

Although he released a song strategically titled ‘Illuminati’ in a bid to dispel the rumors. That however did not seem to have worked.

In the song, Sakordie mentioned he would have been an owner of an estate in Hawaii had he been a member of the secret society.

Those with little insight into such secret groups indicate that Sarkodie uses the symbol of the Illuminati in almost all his music videos.

Sarkodie in a recent interview on ‘The Hard Truth’ on Joy News channel suggested that although he is not affiliated to the group, the tag makes him feel positive about his achievements.

Sark’s speech;

“I take it in a positive way…For [people] to make that comparison then it should tell you where you are. I am worried more [about] people who care about me, not what is said about me…I am more worried about family members who [broke down over the Illuminati tag] and it got to them.

“That was the only reason why I did the song. But personally, I don’t care. I think it is a good situation to be in [when] people feel like there is something more than just talent that can make you who you are.” He told show host Akosua Konadu.

Fatherhood Definitely Has An Effect On Me – Sarkodie

Rapper Micheal Ouwsu Addo, aka Sarkodie has stated being a family man has affected his delivery.

Sarkodie was speaking on Starr Drive with Geovanita( Giovanni And Anita)

According to him, becoming a father has not hindered his creativity, but has made him more responsible.

Sarkodie Speaks

“…And I need to own-up to things [that] I say. So, I can’t be hypocritical as at now…it definitely had effect but I think it is good,” he said.

Sarkodie welcomed his first daughter, Adalyn Owusu Addo(Titi) with his long time girlfriend, Tracy a year ago.

Touching on his perceived arrogant posture to the media when he is required for an interview, the ‘Gbozaa’ hitmaker pointed out that the perception goes beyond the media.

“I think people; when they see me they feel like there is a wall that they need to break before they get to me. I think that is the vibe that people get and it might be true…I think different people from different walks of life have the same experience but personally, it is not true,” he added.

Sark is set for his sellout show ‘Rapperholic’ concert which comes off Tuesday December 25.

Sarkodie Finally Reveals Who He Considers The Best Rapper In Gh

Awards-winning Rapper Michael Owusu Addo, known in showbiz as Sarkodie has revealed who his best rapper is in Ghana if he steps aside in the music industry.

According to him, Hip-hop artiste, Strongman Burner known in real life as Osei Kwaku Vincent tops the ladder in his absence.

The BET award winner is of the view that Strongman, signed on his Sarkcess record label stands tall when it comes to logical rap delivery.

Asked why he believes Strongman deserves the praises he is showering on him, Sarkodie said ‘Strongman has the timing, delivery and the soul. That’s why I took him on my label.’

Sark further added that Strongman’s style of rap, lyrics and appropriate timing with regards to beats gets to his soul; a talent he believes no artiste has been able to demonstrate to him yet.

“On the real, I would say strongman. I think it’s been a while since I heard an artiste like that. Not because he is with me. When we were coming, it was very raw. I had no friend who was rapping. Strongman has the timing, delivery and the soul. That’s why I took him, he gets to me. He makes me laugh. He gets to me in all directions…,” Sarkodie said on Daybreak Hitz on Hitz FM.

The ‘Adonai’ crooner said urged his fans to believe in what they do to be successful in life.

“Finding the truth is very hard and that means knowing what you stand for. You shouldn’t let anyone come in between that. The truth I stand for is sharing my story with people….”

“You need to stand for it and be stubborn. The greatest people celebrated stood for one thing they believed in. Being nervous is part of it but be determined and if you have that you can do whatever…” he advised.

Sarkodie will be holding the 5th edition of his annual Rapperholic Concert at the Accra International Conference Centre on 25th December 2017.

Not Having Sex With Tracy For A Month Was A Challenge – Sarkodie

Award winning rapper Sarkodie has revealed one of the most challenging times in his life.

According to him, one of the hardest moments he had with his baby mama, Tracy. That was the first month she gave birth to their first child, Titi.

He was advised to avoid any sexual intercourse with the new mum for close to a month. This, he said was indeed challenging for him considering the fact that he could do foreplay without sex.

The rapper, made this revelation when he appeared on Westwood crib session in UK with host, Tim Westwood.

Sarkodie Speaks

“So my daughter came and the first two weeks or one month, I’m not supposed to touch her (Tracy). You are not supposed to do anything and that was like the hardest time. You can (hold her) but you don’t have to let it lead to the main thing (sex) so you need to take a break which is like very very hard.

What I was doing was trying to take my mind off it and trying to do things that can make me focus on something else.”

He also added that Tracy was no help at all. This was because she teased him with dresses which were difficult to take one’s eyes off.

“but this girl (Tracy) keeps coming into the room to pick stuff wearing some stuff that is so hard to stay back. You know the funny thing, you can stay away for three weeks without doing it when you know you are free to do it but when you are told not to do it, that’s when you want to do it”.

Adonai Happens To Be My Biggest Hit Of All Time – Sarkodie

The King of Rap, Sarkodie is noted to have consistently delivered so many hit songs but according to him, none can compare to his track, ‘Adonai’.

Adonai was a huge song whose impact was felt not only in Ghana but outside the country as well. It was released in 2014 and features Castro.

According to Sarkodie, the track got him a lot of deals and he has not been able to release a song bigger than that.

Adding that although his fans wish he would release more of such songs, he won’t because he is a rapper.

Sarkodie Speaks
