Yvonne Chaka Chaka Advises Female Artistes In AFRIMA

There was a summit during the AFRIMA held in Accra.

Legendary singer, Yvonne Chaka Chaka spoke to a cross-section of musicians. She spoke about the issues of sexual harassment and exchange of sexual favours. Moreover, she stated that she walks with her shoulder up high today. This is because she never gave in to any of the sexual advances made at her when she began her career journey.

“I am here today because my underwear was very tight, it wasn’t loose and I urge you all young ladies to keep your underwear’s tight” 

She further stated that becoming famous in the creative arts industry isn’t dependent on sex.

To you young ladies out there, if you want to become famous you do not have to leave your panties loose, let it be tight as possible” 

“when you have what it takes no one will or can take you for a ride”

“You can walk tall when you keep your panties tight and no one will point fingers at you “
