Jacaranda Hotel Exonerates Itself from Cholera Claims, Maintains Clean Bill of Health

After the KICC cholera scare saw two top Cabinet Ministers admitted in hospital and scores of others taken ill, the Government moved with speed to close down two top luxury Hotels indefinitely.

One of the hotels was Jacaranda Hotel, a 53-year old property that was founded by the late Billionaire politician Njenga Karume and has been one of the top Hotels in Nairobi for over half a century now.

The other was Valencia Hotel, located in Westlands also a top-tier eatery.

However, it has now emerged that the hotel that actually provided people with catering services on that fateful day was actually Valencia and not Jacaranda as earlier indicated.

 

The outbreak was also said to have affected customers of Weston Hotel, which is actually where the matter was first reported.

After the Government directive, Jacaranda Hotel moved with speed to allay the fears and also cooperate with the Government on clearing up the matter and setting the record straight.

And despite the fact that the hotel’s reputation has been seriously dented, the management insists on its innocence and maintains that they are working to clear their name from any further damage and misrepresentation.
