¨I am scared for my life and future¨ DJ Evolve speaks following Babu Owino´s release

B-Club deejay Felix Orinda popularly known as DJ Evolve has raised concerns over his safety following the release of Embakasi MP, Babu Owino on bail.

The deejay who is still undergoing treatment locally, is paralyzed from the neck down. This is after a fatal shooting with the Kenyan legislator on the 17th of January.

Reports reveal that the disk jockey is suffering from a condition ´quadriplegia´, losing his sensory and motor abilities.

However, DJ Evolve´s test results indicated that there was heroin, bhang and alcohol in his system as well as the first two, in his possession.

Early yesterday, the 27th of January, the politician´s release did not augur well with the victim´s family who claimed they fear for their lives.

During Babu Owino´s bail hearing, the bail assessment report read:

Their plea to the court is that if the same is granted, other protective measures should be instituted to ensure the security of the victim, family and also to safeguard against witness interference.

DJ Evolve further noted that he lives in fear.

I am in pain, I am tired and traumatized. Plus, I don´t want to talk and I cannot fathom anything. I have not slept for days because I am scared of my life and future.

Bail

The Embakasi MP was granted a Ksh 10 Million bail that is to be paid up in 4 installments for the next 3 months.

The first Ksh 2.5 million, frees him from Industrial Area remand for the last one week.

According to Chief Magistrate, Francis Andayi, the money will be used to settle the deejay´s hospital bill.

Babu Owino has been banned from any alcohol or narcotic drug abuse in public places until the case is determined.
