King Kaka´s recent release ¨Wajinga Nyinyi¨ jam has since gone viral, generating uncomfortable heat especially within the Kenyan political class.

Controversial songs have more often than not faced the consequences of their productions mainly from the film regulatory board, KFCB under Ezekiel Mutua´s leadership.

Dr Mutua however, is not about to take any action against the veteran rapper. According to him, this is exactly the message Kenyans need to hear to wake up from their deep sleep.

Let people reflect on the message – Dr Ezekiel Mutua urges Kenyans following ¨Wajinga Nyinyi¨ controversial song

Instead of ´wasting time´ ranting online, the media chief-whip has urged Kenyans to reflect on the message from the poetic piece and learn sooner rather than later.

On his Facebook page, the KFCB Boss penned:

Let people reflect on the message, but the fact that the rapper can do such production and walk scot-free is evidence that our democracy has come of age. Try that in Uganda or Rwanda and things will be different.

It is obvious that Kinga Kaka´s poetry has rattled the political class, with a couple calling out in King Kaka for his expose and asking him to keep off.

However, Dr Ezekiel Mutua has announced publicly that no action will be taken against King Kaka by the board and all whose ego has been pricked should seek the Law´s intervention instead.

King Kaka´s ¨Wajinga Nyinyi¨ new release is evidence that we are a free country. He has used his creative licence to prick our conscience. Anyone defamed can seek legal redress, but as a board, we will not interfere with the production.
