Sauti Sol, Avril, Fena Gitu, Kristoff and King Kaka are the Kenyan music heavyweights whose songs are being hosted by Boomplay Music.

Boomplay is a digital music service that gives artists a source of revenue as the users get to access their music at a fee.

Boomplay Music has partnered with local CMO’s, namely KAMP, PRISK and Audio Visual Society Kenya to help support local artists by providing a platform for artists to avail their music to their fans and to be consumed legally.

The greatest advantage of the platform is that it promotes transparency since the artist manages their own account and can log in and check on the performance of their tracks.

“What we aim to achieve is to give artists a transparent platform where they can easily promote and monetize their musical works, we consider ourselves a bridge between the artist and the fan by offering a platform where the music lover can have direct access to everything music.” Chinasa Udeala, Regional Director E.A commented.

First launched in Nigeria, 2015, Boomplay Music (initially called Boom player) has over 8.9 million total users, 4.8 million monthly active users and 1 million daily active users, it is the No. 1 yet the fastest growing music app in Africa.
