Arsenal legend Thierry Henry made to cook Nigeria’s staple dish jollof rice after leaving Kenya for West Africa

Thierry Henry was in Kenya for two days courtesy of Guinness. The Frenchman left Kenya for Nigeria where he took part in non-football activities.

Thierry Henry rubbed shoulders with his Kenyan fans on Saturday evening at the ‘Guinness Fanzone’ held at RFUEA Impala ground.

The Arsenal legend spent two days in Kenya interacting with fans and football stockholders.  Henry left Kenya for Nigeria on Sunday December 17th.

Cooks jollof rice

Arsenal fans in Nigeria welcomed the football star who arrived in Lagos for Guinness Made of Black programme. Henry also participated in non-football activities during his stay in Nigeria.

The football legend participated in the cooking of popular Nigerian dish jollof rice. Those who watch Nigerian movies know what jollof rice is – rice cooked with tomatoes, onion, cooking oil etc.

Thierry Henry was also crowned the Igwe of football at an event in Victoria Island, Lagos, Nigeria. Igwe is a Nigerian word for king, most Arsenal fans think Henry is a football king even though he failed to win the one trophy Arsenal has never won – The Champions League.
