Celebrated media personality Adelle Onyango recently launched an initiative known as ‘Unapologetically African’ which seeks to give opportunities to the youth and women in Kenya.
The event, which was held at the Shift Eye Studios, saw her remind guys that everyone should be unapologetic about being African without giving excuses and explaining where we come from and why we do the things we do.
Many of her friends, family and colleagues attended the launch and it was a success with powerful speakers such as Caroline Mutoko, Rama Oluoch and Nelly Tuikong-Park, Pauline Cosmetics founder among others.
Homeboyz radio presenter Patricia Kihoro is more than thankful for what Adelle is doing for the youths in Kenya.
Taking to social media, Kihoro posted a touching message congratulating Adelle for her work and urging her to keep motivating women all around the nation.
“Adelle, thank you. For everything that you do. You’re such a beautiful, powerful light. Everyday, in observing you, these words are reiterated consistently… “There is no passion to be found playing small, in settling for a life that is less than the one you are capable of living.” by Nelson Mandela. I’m learning this from you constantly. Thank you for the constant inspiration. Guys, follow the @adelleonyangoinitiativeand be a witness or a part of the amazing work that @adelleonyango is doing in creating opportunities for the youth, fighting gender-based violence and having necessary conversations on mental health.#AOInitiative #UnapologeticallyAfrican.” she said.
