Konde Boy has confirmed to the world that bongo music is in his blood. And no matter where he goes or with whom he merges with, the crown is his.

This he assures fans once more after getting nominated for the coveted 2019 MTV EMAs awards.

Most captivating is fact that he is the only artiste from East Africa to score in the nominations under the Best African Act category.

An award that has been graced to the industry’s bigwigs who this time around, are missing.

2014, Kenyan boy band Sauti Sol scooped it, 2015 was Diamond’s time and 2016 saw his archrival, Ali Kiba bag it home.

The 2019 MTV Europe Music Awards will be held at the FIBES Conference and Exhibition Centre in Seville, Spain on Sunday, the 3rd November 2019.

This comes as the fourth time the event will be going down in Spain.

Other African nominees include South Africa’s Nasty C and Prince Kaybee, Nigeria’s Burna Boy and Teni and Togo’s Toofan.
