Caught on camera: Vitz driver runs over a woman seated on the sidewalk in Nairobi CBD while reversing at high speed (Horrific video)
CCTV cameras caught the moment a Toyota Vitz (which was reversing) ran over a woman seated on the sidewalk of a street in Nairobi City.
The 45-second clip shows the driver conversing with a person who appears to be a parking guide, the man shows the driver an empty space by the road where the Vitz could be parked.
Seated on the sidewalk of the street are two women, they are not aware of the danger the Vitz poses to their lives – a few seconds later it was disaster.
The Vitz’s driver started reversing the car and then in a split second everything goes haywire as the car all over sudden gains speed and runs over one of the woman seated by the sidewalk.
The woman is dragged by the car until it smashed into a wall and stopped moving, a second later the driver – a lady gets out of the Vitz and she’s completely shaken by the accident.
It’s not clear whether the woman she hit was still alive or had died, the CCTV footage ends as a crowd started milling around the scene of the accident.
