Chebukati drops Chiloba from team that that will oversee October 17th presidential election

Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) chairperson Wafula Chebukati has appointed a new team to oversee the October 17th presidential election.

Surprisingly IEBC Chief Executive Ezra Chiloba, his deputy Betty Nyabuto, the commission’s director of voter registration and elections operation Immaculate Kasai, manager of operations Mwaura Kamwati and head of ICT James Muhati, were all locked out in the new appointment by Chebukati.

Chebukati directed that Albert Gogo (who replaced ICT head James Muhati) to be under his direct supervision in order to avoid challenges of failed election technology.

IEBC CEO Ezra Chiloba was specifically blamed for the bungled August 8th presidential election which was nullified last Friday by the Supreme Court following a petition file by Nasa.
