Churchill – Taji Awards is to recognize individuals who have done so much in the comedy industry

Godfather of comedy, Daniel Ndambuki has launched his own recognition awards for outdoor comedians.

Friday, the 26th of July, the Churchill Show pioneer launched the ´Taji Recognition Awards´ for fete comedians who´s wit is undebatable.

This was during the 3rd edition of International Africa Laugh Festival at KICC grounds.

Top Kenyan comedian, Njugush is among the first beneficiaries alongside NTV´s Managing Editor, Emmanuel Juma.

To his surprise, Njugush was first ushered on stage before receiving the ¨Taji Humour Recognition Award: Online Creator¨ for his feat on the digital space.

An emotional Njugush could only air:

Meanwhile, Juma´s award is in recognition to his humor-filled weekly segment ¨The Bull´s Eye¨ on NTV.

Juma received the award in absencia, courtesy of NTV´s Production and Programming Operations Manager, Justus Tharao.

In reference to the launch of the annual Awards, Churchill shared:

We introducing something, an award we call Taji to recognize individuals who have done so much in this (comedy) industry.

We just did our personal stuff, next year we will give the fans a chance to choose whom they think deserves to win.
