Diamond Platnumz’s dad ventures into music, should he continue or try farming ?Watch Video

Mzee Abdul Juma, the father to Tanzanian Bongo crooner, Diamond Platnumz, has ventured into music. And he is not joking this time round.

He has three stage names. You can call him Baba Diamond aka Big Lion or Mzee  Mondi.

He has released  a collabo with upcoming Tanzanian artistes Sungura Madini, Promis Nyota and Blod Gaz in a new song dubbed, Mwewe, which dropped yesterday April 2.

Mwewe  is a love song and it has that  Bongo touch. Whoever sung the chorus did justice on the song. The soothing vocals are on point.

However, the verses are below bar especially where Diamond’s father tries to rap or is it sing . You can clearly tell he is struggling.

But the  husky  voiced  guy who joins in the 1.14th minute  has talent . He raps like Chidi Benz. Let’s just say he is a good rapper.

When it comes to video, the video producer flopped badly. The video is shoddy. You might think it was shot with a  pinhole camera.

Whoever shot and directed the video should pull up his socks. The vixens in the video look like villagers who have landed in the city for the first time. The video is not eye friendly at all.

The only thing is that is attractive in this song is the mellow chorus and that verse  from the husky voiced rapper. But if you love comedy, the part where Diamond’s dad tries to grind on a vixen will tickle you.

Watch this new song by Baba Diamond  and leave a comment. Do you think he  should continue with music or he should try other things?
