Karay Blue dropped an album dubbed ‘Autism: The Visual Album (God & Love)’ which was all about creating awareness about autism.
The themed album features collaborations with artistes like Jua cali, MOG, Ala C, Mariko Mkimbizi from the group Wakimbizi, Richie Longomba and Jedidah, a US-based musician.
The album is meant to create awareness on children and families affected by autism — like Karay Blue’s own daughter who was diagnosed with the condition.
Karay also published a book about autism in July 2016 with fellow autism awareness ambassadors Nazizi, Collo, Bossand and others.
The singer’s Autism Lights initiative has supported many autism centers in Kenya providing first therapy lessons and materials to create awareness on autism.
Since Karay Blue huge span on autism awareness, several Kenyan celebrities; Size 8, DJ Mo, Sleepy David etc have since joined on her efforts to bring Kenya in championing on autism fronts in Africa.
