Former city MP accused of facilitating smuggling of stolen vehicles into the country

A Kenyan representative to the East African Legislative Assembly (EALA) in Arusha, Tanzania has been implicated in car-smuggling syndicate.

It is alleged that the flamboyant representative, who is a former MP in Kenya, has been misusing the privileges of his position to facilitate the smuggling of the stolen vehicles into Kenya where they are dismantled and disposed off as spare parts.

Locally the representative was alleged to be a notorious scamming car dealer before he ventured in politics. Unsuspecting victims have lost good money to the man.

Beyond smuggling the stolen Tanzanian vehicles into Kenya, the man is also largely behind the smuggling of industrial ethanol from Tanzania into Kenya via the Namanga border. All interventions by custom officials at the border have been futile as the man is seemingly untouchable.

Land grabbing

The former city MP is also said to be deeply involved with dreaded land grabbing cartels in Nairobi and has been their quintessential hatchet man in their destructive approaches to their grabbing schemes.

Being the shrewd city politician that he is, the man illegally supplies goons to intimidate by way of forceful entry into prime properties eyed by the land grabbers.

Most specifically the properties targeted are along Ngong Rd and in Westlands where his brutal goons have evicted home owners and demolished their properties to pave way for the land grabbers.

Regrettably such tactics by the man have occasionally led to sad loss of human life and its only the incapacity and corruption in the Kenyan justice system that has been the brief saving grace for the man.
