Grief as world record holder, David Rudisha, allegedly abandons wife and kids

Olympic champion, David Lekuta Rudisha allegedly abandons his wife and kids.

Through social media, his wife, Lizzy calls out to the Olympic world record holder for frustrating her and their children.

Up on Facebook, Lizzy Naanyu pleads with Rudisha to stop it because she has just had enough of the chase.

David Lekuta Rudisha really stop frustrating me with my kids.

To my family, my heart is heavy I can´t hold anymore.

I love you all.

A post she soon after deleted.

This has raised a myriad questions about his whereabouts as well as the well-being of his marriage.

History

Furthermore, the 800-meters champion has been missing from the athletics´ scene with his last being the 2017 IAAF Diamond League held in Shanghai, China.

However, according to a report by a local daily, Rudisha´s agent, Mitchel Boeting failed to comment on the same, citing that he is yet to come across Lizzy´s post.

Adding that Rudisha is nursing an injury but will soon be back on the track.

I cannot comment on their family matters. I have not even known about the post.

David might not compete this season. The injury healed and reoccurred.

He will be late for the season and I think he will be back next season. We expect that all will be well for him.

Appointed as President of Athletes Commission – the Confederation of Africa Athletics (CAA) – it is reported that he has not been actively serving his role.

Revealing that he hardly responds to urgent calls or messages that require him to attend crucial events as CAA´s President.

A senior Athletics Kenya official is not impressed by this expressing:

Sometimes it is difficult to understand some Kenyan athletes.

Here an athlete has landed a big position in Africa or IAAF but he doesn’t see the importance.

Rudisha was appointed CAA Athletics Commission three years ago, but he is not actively involved.

We here at AK sometimes look for him (Rudisha) to attend some of our critical events but he doesn’t respond to our phone calls or bother to reply our texts.

CAA President Hamad Kalkaba Malboum is not happy.

Pleas

Kenyans plead with the Olympic champion to get his house in order before all hell breaks lose.
