If it was a weekend, most artistes would have shown up – Daddy Owen explains low turn up at Papa Dennis´ burial

Award-winning gospel musician, Papa Dennis was laid to rest on Thursday, 20th of February but fellow artistes´ turn up was extremely low.

However, gospel artist, Daddy Owen sought to explain why.

Speaking to Mpasho, the ¨Vanity¨ hitmaker divulged:

I can give three reasons, Likuyani is very far and travelling there needs planning. The second reason is that the memorial in Nairobi had been so that those who could not travel can pay their last respects. Lastly, the burial was on a weekday, I feel if it was a weekend most people wangetokelezea.

A memorial service was held on Monday, the 17th of February. With gospel artistes, fans and friends gathering to pay him his last respects.

His burial ceremony took place at his parents´ home in Matunda, Likuyani constituency in Kakamega county.
