Nairobi Governor, Mike Sonko’s daughter, Saumu Mbuvi has opened up about her greatest fear, which is losing her daughter to the cruel world of social media.
The mother of 1, has on numerous occasions been the punching bag for Kenyans due to her kind of lifestyle. However, that is her and does not plan to have her daughter go through the same thing.
Speaking exclusively to Radio Jambo’s Massawe Japanni, she cites:
I’m afraid my child will want to become a celeb. The internet is a cruel world and those women (trolls) don’t have boundaries.
Fame will confuse her. I don’t mind if she is in the limelight because of her grandpa or grandma but I wouldn’t want her to be a socialite.
So she has laid across measurable steps to counter the social media ‘absorption’ effect, airing:
Nowadays, I limit her access and exposure to the internet, I want her to be more into books and reading. She can make that decision (to be on social media) after she is 18 years old but I will guide her till she is 25 years old.
