Inspiration Tuesday: Meet Afro-pop singer Miss Randy who is quickly scaling the heights of showbiz

Miss Randy debuted as a singer when she dropped ‘Love Me’ with Boss MOG. She was just a random promoter who worked with big names in Kenya before she decided to start singing.

Miss Randy, whose real name is Rose Akello Okun, started singing in church.  She discovered she had talent for singing when she randomly tried out her voice in studio while working on a project with one of the artists she was holding up.

The fast rising singer spoke to Ghafla! about her career and and aspirations. She opened up about her first song with Boss MOG which launched her to the market.

“My first song and huge project has been with Boss MOG and it’s a great experience for that matter. I have a couple of productions which i have been working on with my producer which are yet to be out very soon,” said Miss Randy.

Want to work with Wahu

Miss Randy says there are a lot of artists who inspire her style of music. She aspires to work with Wahu, Wyre and Alikiba who she says she looks up to.

“I would love to collaborate with Wahu, Wyre and Alikiba. I am also open to collaborate with any artist who can be thrilled by my work,” Miss Randy revealed.

The singer further says she aspires to grow her music brand to become one of the most sought after talents in Africa. She would also love to have her music impact the community in terms of social and cultural lifestyle and beliefs.
