Jalang’o: I have 3,212 pairs of shoe. In a good week I can buy as many as four pairs of shoes

Jalang’o is overtly obsessed with shoes. The comedian’s undying urge to buy shoes has something to do with his childhood experience.

Jalang’o is among those celebrities who come from a humble background. Basic things like a pair of shoe was something the comedian lacked in his childhood.

The best he could afford then was akala (sandals made out of vehicle’s tyre). Jalango is now compensating for what he lacked in his childhood by buying thousands of shoes.

One shoe a day for 8 years

Jalango buys at least four pairs of shoes in a week, currently has 3,212 pairs of shoe. The comedian can wear one pair of shoes each day for the next eight years without repeating a single pair.

“My love for shoes started when I joined Form One. My dad had fund raised to take me to school and that’s when he got me my first pair of shoes. I’m just compensating for the years I never had shoes. Currently, I have 3,212 pairs of shoe. In a good week I can buy as many as four pairs of shoes,” says Jalang’o.
