Kenyan journalists vow to boycott Harmonize´s future press conferences

Harmonize did the unthinkable after walking out of his ¨Uno¨ release party, that was scheduled in Kenya.

The ¨Uno¨ singer had scheduled a media tour in Tanzania, Kenya and Uganda, so after an exemplary job with the Tanzanian media, it was Kenya´s turn.

A press conference scheduled for 11 am before it was pushed to 3 pm and later, set for 7 pm.

Despite the prolonged delays and uncertainties, journalists turned up in big numbers at the Blue Door VIP lounge, all eagerly waiting with their flurry of queries.

Unfortunately, an hour later, Konde Boy and his entourage arrived, forcing their way into the place.

That was last week, Friday night, when the bongo star spoke for roughly 3 minutes. His opening remarks started off :

This is Harmonize in Nairobi for the release of Uno. So far so good. Uno has become the biggest afro hit song. I wanted to take it to all the African countries to have a launch party but there are constraints. My abilities can only allow me to host those that I have hosted so far.

Then a journalist posed a question regarding fact that in his ¨Uno¨ hit, there is the mention of Diamond and Zari. So what does it mean for his relationship with Diamond?

He quickly fired back saying:

I don´t know! Sikuwataja kwa ubaya.

Madharau

Before standing up and walking out, rudely, when a journalist was still asking a question.

he answered 2 questions and demanded not to be asked about WCB. Asked by the PR organizer about the one-on-one session he had requested for, he declined and stormed out of the place.

Funny enough, it later came up that the singer´s excuse was that he was late for an interview scheduled for 10 pm.

Journalists left in awe, backlashed the Tanzanian singer for too much pride, declaring never again to be a part of any press conferences he asks for.

Hours later, Harmonize was part of his anticipated TV show, acting like all was well.

And according to Kenyans, that was typical ´madharau´, not the first time he has done that.

Soon after, Kenyan journalists went on an online public rant. Below are a sample of the posts.
