Kenya’s most successful hip hop group Uko Flani reunite to hold mega concert in total darkness

Uko Flani is back in limelight after 10 years hiatus. The legendary hip hop group is set to thrill fans in a concert that will be held in darkness.

For starters, Uko Flani is one of the pioneer hip hop groups of contemporary urban music in Kenya. The group dominated airwaves with several hit songs before they went underground a decade ago.

Uko Flani is however set to make a major comeback with a concert slated for Saturday April 28th 2018. The group will hit the stage in a dark auditorium with lights out both on the audience and the stage.

Fundraising initiative

The April 28th concert is a fundraising initiative organized by Christian Blind Mission (CBM) Kenya, National Council of Persons Living with Disability, Carlson Wagonlit Kenya, OnPoint Media, Proem, and Glow Inc Kenya.

The concert is aimed at raising funds for prevention of childhood blindness, this explains why Uko Flani will be performing in total darkness.

The concert will be held at the Louis Leakey Auditorium, National Museums of Kenya from 5:00pm.
