“Kibe is my homie, he’s a rider!” Kamene Goro recalls the day Andrew Kibe sent her Ksh 1000 to get to work

KISS 100 radio presenters, Kamene Goro and Andrew Kibe have been bosom friends ever since till date, something that is manifested in their daily life.

Kibe has come through for Kamene in so many ways, if her past and recent revelations are anything to go by.

During her recent InstaLive session with Classic 105’s Mike Mondo, Kamene described just how much Kibe has been of assistance in her life.

When all she needs is just but fare to get to work, Kibe doesn’t think twice about it. That is the best it gets!

The curvy radio girl confessed:

Kibe is my homie, I love him so so much guys. He’s a rider.

Adding:

You don’t know how you’re going to get to work guys and all you need is just Ksh 1,000. Let me tell you, Kibe will come through for you.

Set standards

Kamene and Mike were discussing just how much they are expected to live ‘this kind of life’ where standards have already been set and imperfection is not option.

The Classic 105 radio presenter bashed:

Because for us there’s an expectation to meet a certain social identity of some sort. Like, you’re supposed to be that person that people are looking up to.

Kamene equally trashed societal ‘set standards’ with her middle finger raised high.

To describe that they are still humans regardless of their careers, Kamene shared her story when she had just quit NRG radio for KISS 100.

I remember I had left NRG radio and I’d just signed with Radio Africa. My dream had come true. I moved into my new house and that same day I had an accident in the house and Boom! I had to be in hospital.

Unfortunately, the offer at the table was not as silver as it looked, especially soon after NRG stopped her and co-host, Andrew Kibe from proceeding on air at KISS 100.

Kamene and Kibe

Their life was hanging on a balance, with an unassured employment on one hand and a court case on the other.

So I had one surgery, I had the second surgery, by the time I had surgery number two, it had already cost me so much. At that time, NRG has taken me to court, I have not even gone on air with KISS FM.

No source of income yet, no guarantee of an employment.

Making matters worse, Kamene had injured her leg and was dishing out money she was not getting back, in surgeries.

So who is still paying me? Do you know your whole life is in hanging on the balance of two totally different individuals. I kept asking ‘when are we going on air?’ Because when you go on air, is when your safe. Once you’re on, you can’t be asked out.
