Killer guardrails slice another vehicle few kilometers from governor Gakuru’s accident scene (Photos)

Guardrails were blamed for the death of Nyeri governor Wahome Gakuru. Another vehicle on Thika Road was sliced when it hit guardrails.

Wahume Gakuru died when the Mercedes he was traveling in rammed into guardrails at Kabati along the Thika-Sagana highway in Murang’a County.

The Mercedes was completely destroyed by the guardrails. The guardrail speared through the vehicle inflicting fatal injuries on the governor and his aides.

Accident on Thika road

Guardrails sliced another vehicle on Thika road on Wednesday November 15th. SGA security firm double cabin rammed into guardrails in high speed a few kilometers from the scene of governor Gakuru’s accident.

Thika traffic base commander Michael Lemaiyan said there were no casualties in the accident. The double cabin was however demolished by the guardrails.

September accident

Guardrails have claims the lives of several motorists in Kenya. Three people died in September on the Southern bypass in Kikuyu when a guardrail ripped through a saloon car.
