Larry Madowo in trouble on his first day at work at BBC

Larry Madowo recently quit NTV to join British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC). The celebrated Kenyan journalist officially started work at BBC on Wednesday April 18th.

Larry joined BBC in a new position as Business Editor BBC News Africa. He left NMG at a time when the Kimathi street-based media house experienced mass exodus of journalists.

Larry was culture shocked when he showed up at work on his first day. He wore his best suit to work only to find his workmates dressed casually.

“On my first day, I was the most overdressed person at the BBC. So this picture commemorates the first and last time I’ll show up at New Broadcasting House in a full suit & tie,” Larry Madowo tweeted.

Trouble on the first day

Larry got in trouble with yet another lady for overdressing. A certain Lilian Petro blames Madowo for her being single, she was completely smitten with the BBC editor when he shared his photo.

“When are planning to marry? you guys are the reason l am still single,” Lilian Petro commented on a photo Larry Madowo took on his first day at work.

Lilian is not the first lady to publicly hit on Larry Madowo. At least two women have openly begged the former NTV anchor to marry them.
