The track dubbed Aya, which is a Swahili word that means okay, has been ruling the airwaves since it was released a few days ago and to be honest, we are also feeling it.

Basically, this joint is about a guy who has his eyes set on a beautiful lady but she is not just impressed with him and that leaves him wondering what about him the lady doesn’t like.

To force him to stop pursuing her, the lady tells him that his star has dimmed and he’s not good looking. What she is not aware of is the fact that her sentiments are causing him even more pain.

In as much as I’m not the biggest proponent of Bongo music, I must say that I really love this song. I have listened to it a couple of time since it came out and every time it’s like I am hearing it for the very first time.

Aya is such a beautiful composition. To add to that, Marioo has a melodious voice – the way he sings you’d think he’s narrating something that really happened to him. Who knows, maybe he is.

Notably, the instrumentation and beat on this jam are also impeccable, especially the former. If you are a fan of live bands I’m sure you’ll love this jam because guitar and violins sounds in it.

Watch Aya below and tell us what you think. Enjoy!
