Meet the watchman and high school cook who have won Jubilee tickets to vie for MCA seats in Kericho County (Photos)

In a county where winning Jubilee ticket is as good as winning August 8th poll, Eric Bett – a watchman and Daniel Ng’etich – a cook, are on the verge of making history.

Kericho residents have decided to go against tradition and elected two proletariats in Jubilee primaries. A watchman and a cook rubbed off competition from aspirants with unrivaled financial might and political backing.

Residents of Kipchebor ward settled for Eric Bett as their candidate of choice to vie for the MCA seat in a Jubilee ticket come August 8th.

The watchman defeated incumbent MCA Joel Siele and Peter Keter’s ally Hillary Chepkwony alias Cheplanget to clinch Jubilee ticket.

Daniel Ng’etich, a cook at Sosiot Girl’s Secondary School in Belgut, Kericho County also won Jubilee ticket for Waldai Ward.
