More and more Kenyans are appreciating Daniel Mwaura’s act of honesty. Mwaura wowed Kenyans when he returned Kes 30,000 to a passenger who left his wallet in a matatu.

Mwaura’s kind gesture has forever changed his life. Comedian Daniel “Churchill” Ndambuki offered to help the city tout get back to school. Mwaura dropped out of the Technical University of Kenya in 2011 due to lack of school fees, he was pursuing IT.

Blessings galore

The chairman of the Communication Authority (CA) is the latest person to give Mwaura cash reward. Ben Ngene Gituku on Wednesday gave the tout Kes 30, 000 to appreciate his honesty.

“I felt touched by your story and wanted to appreciate the young man’s honesty. Honesty is one of the things we need to encourage in our society. Young people need to know that there are rewards in doing good. I look forward to when Kenya will be like Dubai where if you forget anything you will always find it. I once left my phone in a hotel in Dubai and only noticed when the plane was leaving the airport. I contacted the hotel and was told everything will be fine and sure enough I found my phone,” Ben Ngene Gituku told Nation.

Mwaura has so far received Kes 130, 000 from well wishers who have been sending him money via M-Pesa to show appreciation for his honesty.
