Mr Nice congratulates authorities for banning Diamond’s ‘erotic’ songs

Mr Nice has praised the move by Tanzanian authorities to ban songs that don’t conform to accepted moral standards. Diamond Platnumz’s two songs have blacklisted.

Mamlaka ya Mawasiliano Tanzania (TCRA) [communication authority] together with Baraza La Sanaa La Taifa (BASATA) [music regulatory body] blacklisted 15 songs from airplay in Tanzania.

The ban is good

Mr Nice has stepped forth to thank authorities for blacklisting songs that don’t adhere to accepted moral standards in Tanzania.

The veteran singer congratulated BASATA for their move in an interview with East Africa Radio’s Planet Bongo.
He says BASATA acted wisely to ban the songs.

Mr Nice argues that a few ‘rotten’ musicians would have tainted the reputation of other good artists if their ratchet songs hadn’t been banned.
