William Ruto calls himself a hustler but he’s nothing close to that. The deputy president spent a whopping 12 million to buy goats at an auction in Baringo.

The annual Kimalel goat auction in Baringo County saw farmers smile all the way to the bank. Deputy president and governors spent millions buying thousands of goats.

William Ruto walked into the auction with 12 million shillings in cash which he carried in a brown suitcase. The DP bought 1000 goats at a cost of Kes 12,000 per goat.

“Chukua hiyo bag, kuna 12 million hapo ndani,” Ruto said after he bought his goats.

Netizens were quick to ask questions after the DP spent 12 million shillings on goats. Some people wondered how much Ruto is really worth.

Waiguru buys 10 goats

Kirinyaga Governor Anne Waiguru was among county bosses who bought goats at Kimalel goat auction. She spent Kes 120,000 to buy 10 goats.

Nyandarua governor Francis Kimemia bought 20 goats for Kes 240,000, Baringo senator Gideon Moi bought 41 goats at Kes 492,000 while Labour CS Phyllis Kandie parted with Kes 1.2 million for 100 goats.
