No more visa applications! Kenyan-born singer Wendy Kimani becomes a legal citizen of Netherlands

Wendy Kimani has been residing in Holland ever since she got married to her Dutch husband Marvin Onderwater. The two lovebirds got married on August 9th 2014 before Wendy relocated to Netherlands.

For starters, Wendy Kimani shot to fame in 2008 when she was a contestant in reality TV show Tusker Project Fame. Wendy boasts of several hit songs including ‘Usiende’, ‘Haiwi Haiwi’, ‘Unajua’ among others.

Wendy got engaged to Marvin Onderwater while they were on a trip in Spain. The two lovebirds have one year old son named Taji.

Dual citizenship

Wendy is now a Dutch citizen, she acquired her second citizenship on Monday October 29th. The ‘Haiwi Haiwi’ hit maker took to social media to break news about her dual citizenship.

“Officially Kenyan and Dutch. ???? #dualcitizenship thanks to Kenya,” Wendy Kimani captioned a photo she shared online.
