Speaking exclusively to Ghafla, Richy Haniel revealed that he tries to help in whatever way he can so that the local music industry can grow and be at par with foreign industries where artists live comfortably off music.

As we speak, he has close to 450,000 subscribers on his channel where his main goal is to promote local music and Kenyan musicians.

Although he has done his part, he says that local musicians also have to put their best foot forward and give him projects that are well done, including the beats and music videos.

If you did not know, this chap is the brains behind the hit song Wamocho that was played on most radio station for the better part of last year.

He told this writer that Mbogi Genje have been his acquaintances for a long time so he just pitched the idea to them and they agreed to work together.

Later on, they asked Mejja to drop a verse and that is how Wamocho was born. They later shot the video and as we speak the song is currently at 1.5 million views.
