Serial bill defaulter Laura Oyier reveals why she has been lying low in China

Laura Oyier shot to fame in 2015 when she failed to pay Kes 200,000 bill at Intercontinental Hotel. The drama queen was also detained at Villa Rosa Kempinski over unpaid bill.

Laura was reportedly blacklisted from Nairobi’s five-star hotels for her habit of not paying her bills. Caroline Mutoko bailed her for the first time she was detained at Intercontinental Hotel.

The socialite spent 2015 Valentine’s Day at Intercontinental Hotel but had no money to pay for her bill. Laura was nicknamed ‘serial bill defaulter’ thanks to her drama at 5-star hotels.

China crackdown on social media

Laura Oyier has been missing in action for close to two years. Apparently the drama queen relocated to China after her branded water business and music career failed to take off.

Laura reveals she went MIA because China has banned Western social networking sites. She explains that she has not been able to post anything on social media about herself or career because of China’s ban on social networking sites.

“I’ve been living in Beijing, China, and for this reason, I’ve been off social media. As you might know these platforms are banned by the Chinese government. So it’s unfortunate I’ve not been able to post anything out of my shows,” Laura Oyier told Word Is.
