Shock as 3 key witnesses in Jamal Gaddafi’s murder case go missing

Three important witnesses in the murder of TV actor Jamal Nassor Gaddafi have gone missing.

This has made the prosecution to ask the court for more time to conduct investigation and determine whether to charge the suspect in custody or not.

The main suspect in the case, Grace Kanamu Namulo, was on Tuesday arraigned in court for the second time but charges were not read to her. Deputy Registrar Kenei said the witnesses went missing after the incident and can’t be traced.

The High Court in Machakos was forced to order Kanamu, to be detained until December 27 to allow prosecution conducts further investigation.

Kanamu, who enlisted popular lawyer Cliff Ombeta, is facing murder charges after allegedly stabbing Gaddaffi following an argument at Arks Hotel in Mlolongo.

“It was reported that Jamal Nassor, 39, was having a party at Arks Hotel near 67 Airport Hotel on the night of December 11, 2018. There was a quarrel between him and his friend Grace Kanamu Namulo, 40. She picked a knife and stabbed him,” the police report states.
