Shock as Kambua asks fans not to vote for her in this year’s Groove Awards

Kenyan Gospel artiste Kambua has asked her fans not to vote her in this year’s Groove Awards.

Taking to social media, the singer shared that this year, she won’t be campaigning for votes like the way she normally does.

She asked fans not to vote for this time round because she’s not really focused in winning, but she’s was thankful for the nomination all the same.

“Good morning! I would like to say “thank you” to #GrooveAwards for nominating me, and especially all of you who have been cheering me on. I don’t take any of it for granted. However, I will not be asking for your votes this year, I honestly feel the need to channel my energy elsewhere. Congratulations and Godspeed to all the nominees! Have a fab day, and thank you for coming to my #TEDTalk ????. Love always, ???? K.” she posted.

Nominations

The ‘Nishikilie’ hitmaker bagged two nominations under the following categories; Digital/online personality of the year under Reflections with Kambua as well as Media Personality of the year
