Musician and Entrepreneur Esther Akoth has condemned the actions of a woman by the name ‘Colleta Wanja’ for spreading false information on her being HIV positive. Her response to the woman showed how serious the issue was. She threatened to sue her for the action and said that she’ll act as an example to all malicious women who seek fame through other people’s names.

On her Instagram, Akothee wrote,

Being a single mother has definitely taught Akothee a lot of life lessons. From her endless advices on social media, especially to women, you can tell she has been through a lot. The 40 year old has revealed that she doesn’t need much for her to glow in her dark melanin. She only needs fruits and water.

Rue is everything like her mum and we cannot deny this. Just like her mummy, Ms Rue is loud, playful and above all – a people’s person.

Away from that – over the weekend Rue turned a year older and as usual; she opted to step out with friends for a few drinks instead of idling at home with her siblings.

With all the excitement, drinking and freedom (especially with the lockdown) Rue and friends forgot about the curfew; a bad move that left them in police custody.

According to Rue, the whole experience was entertaining; but spending the night behind bars was not so fun as she may have assumed. Speaking in a video shared on her IG stories, Ms Rue did not disclose much but confirmed rumor about her arrest.

Judging from how Rue spoke in the videos, it’s obvious to see that this is not the first time she is getting arrested; or rather is spending the night in police custody.

With a mother as wealthy as Akothee, getting arrested because of curfew wouldnt be such a big offense…One phone call and all is sorted out. I mean, this is Kenya!

Most people might succumb to celebrity pressure and try to copy their lavish lifestyles. Musician and entrepreneur Akothee has come to the rescue of men whose wives run away from them with the aim of becoming ‘happy single mums’.

Akothee posted on her Insta stories, advicing women not to turn away from their marriage. She further states that women should not use the excuse that they want to live like her. Additionally, the musician claims that life on social media is not what is seems like and it’s very different from reality.

”It has come to my attention that I am mis-advising women to walk out of their relationships. The problem is that you don’t understand my English. Please, if you’re married, stay in your marriage. Even our own parents stayed in their own marriages. Being a single mother is not pride, it is a circumstance. And we can’t change anything about that.

Anyway, we’ve got to be strong to live this life. If you think you want to leave your husband because you think Akothee is living a good life, I will never showcase my frustrations online. If you are unhappy in any kind of relationship , take a seat, sit down and write how you feel about the entire vibe

If there is anything Akothee is good at is probably schooling lonely, desperate single mums. This is because, she has so far perfected the art of raising her 5 children on her own; and whether you like it or not, she does this singlehandedly.

However before she knew the power she has as a woman; Akothee says she would run around looking for sympathy from people as she narrated how her exes did her wrong.

At the end of the day she then realized that most of the people she talked to either laughed behind her back; others had more problems than hers while the rest did not really care.

Singer Akothee has always been open about her life; and despite having dropped out of school to start a family – she still went back to complete her high school studies.

However back when she was still married to ex husband Jared; Akothee for the first time has come out to reveal that they were blessed with a bouncing baby boy called, Retret Roberts woody Okello.

But sadly this young only got to live for 8 months before his untimely death. The singer revealed this in a new post shared to show her first home after getting married to her first love, Jared. Through her Instagram page Akothee went on to tell her story in a detailed post where she said;

????I lived in this house with my children while their dad was in the University, I had a small shop at Kanga market, which I could only afford to open in the evening for one hour after I came back from school .
I would wake up early in the morning, prepare my kids for school, drop them at kinda garten ( Kanga teachers quoters ) then walk 2 kilometers to kanyaserega secondary School , To finalise my Secondary school which I had left in FORM TWO…… One More Time

Akothee is a proud mother as she welcomes the first degree into her home.

Vesha Okello, a student at Strathmore University has brought unending joy to her mom, Akothee after a 4-year stint at the private institution.

The announcement

Breaking the news, Akothee proudly yet memorably took fans back to how it all started.

From several primary schools to her Secondary education at Moi Girls school then eventually to Strathmore, Akothee reveals;

“In all these schools, I was never sermoned to come due for my child’s misbehavior. Amidst my struggle, pain & hustle, my children gave me the easiest time for parenting.”

“The journey has not been easy, from draining my accounts to zero just to see you succeed. It’s because of you that I never settled in Europe or diaspora,” she continues.

“For the four years of Vesha’s University, I have never set foot in Strathmore University, I don’t even know how it looks like nor it’s bank details. I transfer school fee to my children’s accounts and they can choose to pay school fee or spend the money. It’s none of my business,” Akothee affirms.

But clarified that away from the cameras, she is a tough disciplinarian and a no-nonsense mother to her 5 kids.

“I had so much problems in my life that I could not afford to police whether Vesha is in school or in a man’s house. But I would call, follow up, show up in their hostel without permission just to let them know, the freedom is also monitored,” she added.

Today, despite what her journey looks like, she looks back and proudly states;

“The only achievement I have is educating my children and giving them the best. I sold my soul to see my children grow and get the best!”

Now, it is time to celebrate as Vesha’s graduation party goes down on December 2, 2020 at Kenya’s high end hotel Kempinski in an all-white event.

Akothee has been left in deep regret after cutting ties with family, to help a disabled man from the streets, only for the man to turn against her.

Shadrack Mwita is a man Akothee introduced to the public, in a bid to try secure him a good future, get him access to good medical services and even put up a business for him to be independent.

Akothee speaks

In a long, tear-filled letter, the philanthropist and singer opens up on how her kindness was taken for weakness that she is now paying for.

“May 1, 2020, amidst Corona, I burnt not only my finger but my heart????. The day I picked up Shadrach, I broke up with my brother who warned me against picking a lame person from the streets,” Akothee pens.

But she insisted and went ahead to house Shadrack.

“He lied he is 18, so I thought he needs a mother’s love ????. My bro became angry, drove off and abandoned me,” she recalls.

A month after taking in Shadrack, they clashed, sending him back to the charitable organization where she was still financing his needs, before renting him a house next to her home.

“Which he never cleaned at all and I had to employ a cleaner and someone to show him how to cook for himself,” she explains.

That was before she decided to bring Mwita into her compound and on June 5, Shadrack was able to stand on his two feet and she took him home.

The turn of events

“On June 8, Shadrack broke the news that I should go build a home for his grandmother and finally his family appears with demands. I was shocked and broken beyond repair,” Akothee admits.

Days later, Shadrack abandoned the house she had rented for him and moved in with a different family.

“The same family called me, blaming me for abandoning a lame child. I received another call from the children’s office, saying there is an under 18 child I abandoned and he is lame and sick,” she reveals.

Akothee has had enough and come out to declare;

“I have only given birth to 2 boys in France and my 3 girls. Don’t ever call me regarding any Shadrack Mwita. I don’t know him. Let him go back to the streets where I found him.”

Although chances are that this is yet another pregnancy that she has been keeping on the low; one can’t help but wonder who is the lucky guy that managed to tame Akothee. We have every reason to believe that singer Akothee is throwing shade at an unknown person who once fooled her. Through her Instagram page the mother of 5 shared a cryptic message where she that most people tend to think she is naive; yet, they know nothing about her.

The singer went on to mention that she will no longer be as nice as most people tend to take advantage of this. She went on to write;

Akothee continues to mourn the death of her young brother’s wife but after death struck severally in her family, she fears it lesser.

Something she declared during her powerful speech at the burial, where she spoke in both Dholuo and English but for the few words she perfectly articulated in the British dialect, she commanded her crowd.

Madam Boss painfully recalled that every time she lost a close family member, something would die in her. Literally breaking down on microphone as she mentioned her deceased family members.

Akothee and her family are currently in mourning after losing their sister in law; who was married to Akothee’s younger brother, Allan Ignatius.

Judging from the posts shared by Akothee, the mother of 5 avoided mentioning what occurred to her late sister in law; however she went on to celebrate her for being more than a friend but a sister.

Although we may not know what Allan is going through; Akothee went on to share some special message comforting him after losing the love of his life. Akothee went on to write;

Akothee has spared the day to gush over the only man who ever bought her KSh 45M property, loved her so much, proposed and even took care and protected children that were not even his.

September 17, is a day that remains inked in her mind. The day the world welcomed a baby boy who grew to be a man she today calls her baby daddy. 11 years back, a day like today, the mzungu went down on his knees for a dear Akothee who was a taxi driver and a mother of 3, at the time.

A number of female personalities in the Kenyan public space, have taken up the role of parenting by themselves for a better part of their lives, some their biological children, others adopted.

Well-known public figures who either got divorced, gave up on marriage life or just had what many would term ‘deadbeat’ baby daddies. That is my list.

Akothee finally finds new love

Kenya’s recording artist and businesswoman, Akothee never got to enjoy love life before going into motherhood. Right from being a child, into marriage and soon after into single parenthood, despite her chain of baby daddies.

Born in Migori county and the first daughter to her parents, an adventurous Esther Akoth got kicked out of her parents’ house at a tender age after falling pregnant for her then teenage boyfriend, Jared who is the father of her three girls.
