Amani G has dropped a new jam dubbed ‘Nisipotee’ and we love it (Video)

14-year-old gospel singer Gracious Amani, who is known in entertainment circles as Amani G, is back with a new jam and it’s totally worth your time.

The song dubbed Nisipotee, which is a Swahili word that means I don’t get lost, talks about trusting God to lead your way and protect you from harm.

The main message in the song is that you should believe in God to protect you, show you the way and help fulfill your plans.

Apart from the powerful message in this jam, the other reason why I can not stop listening to it is because Amani G’s voice is gracious, did you see what I did there? Anyway, her vocals are really on point.

This young girl who caught the world’s attention with her soulful cover of Alicia Key’s Girl On Fire continues to wow us each passing day. The way I see it, she’s already become a household name.

Her lyrics are also on point and laden with a powerful message, I can only hope that she writes her songs herself, I’d be really disappointed if that is not the case.

I also love the video concept. It tells a story that you can easily follow. The beat and instrumentation on are also dope so much so that you won’t resist the urge to hit the replay button.

Watch: Amani G introduces younger sister in new song “Asante” and she just as talented as her

Singer Amani G has a sister.

Yes, and she as talented as her. When the form one singer wowed Kenyans with her voice last year, not many thought that there’s another replica of her but apparently she has a younger sister called Pendo.

The two have teamed up to release their new jam dubbed ‘Asante’. Amani G and Pendo first performed the song together at the launch of ‘My Reflections at 13’ album.

Working together

On Monday, they released the song and it’s accompanying music video on YouTube. The project’s manager, Lenny Ngugi, said they were stunned by Pendo’s vocals.

“Nine months ago as we recorded Amani at the studio, we had no idea her sister had these kinda pipes. She sang ‘amazing grace’ for us and just like that she landed on Amani G’s Album “My reflections at 13″. Here is to the safety of the future of Kenyan music,” said Lenny.

Regarding the song, Amani G said;

“My sister Pendo and I have been working on a collabo ever since we started singing together. Asante is a song very dear to us that reminds us how good God has been this far.”

Since then, I have performed at a show in Two River’s Mall, Kid’s Festival as well as in KICC.”

Mentor

Amani G opened up about being inspired by Size 8 during an interview with Word Is. She said that she was impressed by how Size 8 turned around her life after getting saved.

“Size 8 has also been my mentor, although I have not met her. The way she was before turning to gospel is very different to who she has turned out to be now. She was different, now you see her down on her knees, praying, and that is who I want to be. I want to be interceding for people. She was very naughty in her music, but God has changed her. I would also like to be a more godly person and to never part from His ways,” said Amani G.
