Award-winning Kenyan rapper Kennedy Ombima, popularly known as King Kaka, has been the talk of the town over the last few days after releasing a rather controversial song.

The jam titled Wajinga Nyinyi, which loosely translates to you fools, calls on Kenyans to rise up against vices such as corruption, tribalism, nepotism, favoritism and what have you.

In the song, which has so far crossed the 1 million views mark on YouTube, King Kaka tells Kenyans to avoid divisive politics and picking candidates not on the basis of merit but because they belong to the same tribe.

He also mentions various leaders who have been charged with corruption such as; Kirinyaga Governor Ann Waiguru, Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko and Kiambu Governor Ferdinand Waititu.

King Kaka further lambastes Kenyans, including clerics, for showering corrupt leaders with praise rather than telling them the truth. He compares the behavior to that of a fool saying:

“Si basi wakam kwa church watoe pesa tulitoa kama tax, na pastor ana-kiss ass ampatie hadi asome ka-verse, na sisi tuko busy wajinga nyinyi tunaclap.”

He goes on to explain the dire situation that Kenyans have to put up with such as unemployment, stalled government projects, being jailed for petty offences, inflation, high taxation, crime, bribery etc.

The Niko Kwa Jam Nakam hit maker claims that he’s not afraid of dying if that’s what it will take for us to realize the mess that we are in saying, “Wakinisnipe tonight si mnajua ni kwa nini, ntakufia watu siogopi mimi.”

King Kaka

The song, which is in the form of spoken words, has elicited mixed reactions since it was released and to be honest, I really love it because it has served as a wake up call to most of us who were too comfortable.

The violin that is playing in the background as King Kaka flows brings a sombre mood and helps you put things into perspective so does the video which was directed by a chap known as CJ.

Generally speaking, this jam which is the fourth single from King Kaka’s upcoming mixtape titled The Servant & The King is a masterpiece which might just start a revolution, if it has not already done that.

Anne Waiguru hits back at Mohammed Ali after he drops his dossier

Mohammed Ali has dragged back Anne Waiguru’s name into the NYS scandal, the Nyali MP wants the Kirinyaga governor to be investigated for her involvement in NYS loot.

Waiguru was at the helm of Devolution Ministry when Kes 791 million was looted. Mohammed Ali has released a list of 10 people and 40 companies linked to the NYS loot.

Waiguru, Health CS Sicily Kariuki, businessman Gor Semelang’o, former DCI Ndegwa Muhoro are among who Ali linked to the NYS scandal.

Demand letter

Waiguru has since threatened to institute legal proceedings against Mohammed Ali for what she terms as defamation. Through her lawyer Mohammed Muigai, the Kirinyaga governor termed Ali’s words as defamatory and meant to cause her to be ridiculed and treated with contempt and disdain.

Waiguru demands that Moha writes unconditional and unreserved apology failure to which she will institute legal proceedings against him.

“In light of the above, our instructions are to demand a written unconditional and unreserved apology, an immediate admission of liability further which we shall address the question of damages and your express undertaking not to utter any defamatory words against our client,” Waiguru’s lawyer demanded.

Meet the 30-year-old Slay Queen who was paid 60 million for supplying nothing to NYS

When you see most of them in designer clothes, drinking champagne in clubs and then driving off to their expensive mansions maybe somewhere in Kileleshwa or Kiambu Road, just know it’s cause they are paid.

As the National Youth Service scandal where almost 9 billion shillings was lost picks momentum, one woman has left many astonished after supplying totally nothing but walked away with a cool Ksh 60 million.

Asked for the tender

Ann Wambere Wanjiku Ngirita

Ann Wambere Wanjiku Ngirita is now the talk of town after she was paid the money from a NYS tender. Funny thing is, she has never tendered to supply goods and services to the government. She does not have an office and even confessed to not bidding to the tender.

“Ms Ngirita revealed that all she did was visit the NYS college in Gilgil and request a procurement officer if she could supply foodstuff. She did not say if the officer was known to her,” Daily Nation reports.

The 30-year-old is among among 43 people who have been questioned by detectives at the Directorate of Criminal Investigations as police try to piece things together.

Millie Odhiambo reveals what would have happened if Waiguru was the one caught pants down instead of her deputy

Fiery ODM Member of Parliament Millie Odhiambo says Kirinyaga governor Anne Waiguru is lucky she is not the one involved in a sex scandal.

Millie is perturbed by how prominent people have stepped forth to defend Kirinyaga deputy governor and demonize the woman she was caught with.

Also: Moses Kuria sends message to Kirinyaga deputy governor caught with someone’s wife at a cheap lodge

The narrative now is that the woman who was caught with Peter Ndambiri in a lodge is a con who conspired with the men to set up the deputy governor.

If it was Waiguru

Millie Odhiambo says Anne Waiguru’s political career would have been over if she was the one caught pants down instead of her deputy.

“Eve at the Garden of Eden all over again
When Adam failed to follow the Lord’s instructions and ate the forbiden fruit at the garden of Eden, his excuse was: ” it is the woman you gave me”. Since then you can be sure any time a Garden of Eden-like incident happens involving a man and a woman, the Garden of Eden theory sets in. The man immediately becomes an innocent by-stander only lured by an ” Eve” woman.

“On the KK Devolution incident, I wonder though how the script would read if it is Governor Anne Waiguru, for instance, who was caught pants down. There would be no alternative script. She would be political history. All men and women here supporting the DG and some making the woman an Eve, would have only one script: conduct unbecoming of a leader and she must go. Not so for men. Men- I love your support network. Women please develop such a support network for fellow women.

“Next time one of us is caught pants down, let us develop alternative theories. Let us not be quick to send our own to the gallows. I have many examples in the distant past.
On another note, we must have a debate about how to deal with the issue of exposing people in compromising situations especially naked. It is wrong and we must deal with it decisively. The DG may have been wrong to go randy with someone”s wife but why film it and post it on line? This should be criminalized. Perhaps the video could have been saved and used for a Chapter 6 test case. Nancy Baraza lost her position as Deputy CJ for pinching an actual nose. The DG pinched a metarphorically worse nose. KHRC and FIDA, over to you,” wrote Millie Odhiambo.

Netizens left cursing Kirinyaga people following Anne Waiguru’s historic victory

Former Devolution Cabinet Secretary Anne Waiguru is the official Jubilee flag bearer for Kirinyaga gubernatorial seat.  The win in Jubilee primary is as good as victory in August 8th poll.

Waiguru garnered 100,632 votes against his closest competitor Joseph Gitari who managed 46,678 votes, incumbent Kirinyaga governor Joseph Ndathi came a distant third.

Waiguru votes in Jubilee primary

Waiguru’s win left Kenyans on Twitter cursing Kirinyaga people – she was at the center of Kes 1.6 billion NYS scandal during her tenure at Devolution ministry so most people expected the electorates not to vote for her.

But they were wrong, Wairugu is the next governor of Kirinyaga county if the voting pattern in Kenya is anything to go by.

Netizens were left lamenting following Anne Waiguru’s historic victory. See some of the reactions on Twitter below:
