Jacky Vike, popularly known as Awinja from the popular Kenyan TV show ‘Papa Shirandula,’ recently shared a personal story about heartbreak and the challenges of navigating a complicated love life.
In an interview with Obinna on November 6, she revealed an incident where her then-boyfriend had saved his side chick’s name as ‘mum’ in his phone, shedding light on her experiences with love and relationships.
The mother of one opened up about her relationship, recounting how her then-boyfriend’s actions had left her feeling betrayed. She disclosed that he had saved his side chick’s name as ‘mum’ in his phone to conceal their communications.
This incident puzzled Awinja, as it initially seemed like they were discussing their upcoming marriage.
However, one day, curiosity got the better of her, and she decided to check his phone. To her dismay, she found messages in which he referred to the other woman as “mum” and detailed their intimate encounters.
Awinja couldn’t believe that he had saved the other woman’s name as “mum” while choosing not to save her name. She expressed her feelings, highlighting the importance of honesty in relationships.
Moreover, she discussed the dynamics among men and their friends, especially when it comes to infidelity. Awinja narrated how friends often enabled each other’s unfaithful behavior, sometimes even encouraging it.
She recounted an incident involving her boyfriend’s friend who would drive her to her boyfriend’s place, where he had another woman waiting for him.

According to the lady, life in Majengo was interesting; but at the same time embarrassing all thanks to her dad. This is apparently because her dad was one known alcoholic who could not go a day without alcohol.
Speaking about him, Jacky Vike described her dad as a loving caring and God fearing man; who also loved to drink.
He loved alcohol but was the most responsible father who treasured education and loved God.

He was a drunkard. When a day passed without my mother being called to pick her husband, it was surprising. Sometimes we would be taking supper and hear screams outside, ‘Kujeni mchukue Baba Bony ameanguka kwa Mtaro na atanyongwa na maji. And we would run to his rescue.
But all in all, she went on to add how much the fella brought sunshine in their lives; before his untimely demise that left them fatherless.
Speaking about his death, Vike said that he fell ill one evening and the next morning, he never woke up. Truly sad, but at least we now know where she got her funny character from.

The way everything was conducted during Papa’s burial still hurts me to date.
I still feel everything was done for TV, because I have attended and seen burial of “COVID 19” cases and it was not the same as Papa’s. The ministry of health (MOH) who should be knowing better on STIGMATIZATION treated us like we all were confirmed cases of Covid-19.

Jacky Vike went on to share the unfortunate experience that left villagers in the late Papa Shirandula’s home scared to death. She wrote;
Some of my colleagues arrived at 4:00am that morning and the MOH officials were there waiting for us. So guys were not allowed to leave the vehicle in the first instance. While in the vehicle the vehicle was fumigated. Our movement was restricted and even going to the toilet was a problem.
Toilets would be fumigated if any of us visited. Just to prove how much this affected Shirandula’s wife; Jacky went on to reveal that most villagers have been treating her as an outcast; following how her late husband’s funeral was handled.
We were on location, but we watched the burial on Viusasa like everyone else. After the burial, Nairobians were literally chased from the homestead! This really broke Mama Papa’s heart she couldn’t understand anything that was going on, it was never the same after we left, the neighbors avoided the family, even buying anything from the shopping Centre they had to send someone from a different family. I cannot write each and every detail here so maybe one day I’ll talk about it on Video.

In as much as the country lost a hero whose presence will forever be felt, only the late Papa Shirandula’s close-knit family and friends know how it really feels to have lost the thespian.
When I talk of family, I also mean Charles Bukeko’s family in the popular TV drama series Papa Shirandula. Speaking during a recent interview with Dr King’ori; Awinja opened up revealing how she caught her man cheating right under her nose. According to Awinja the fella had been doing this for a while before his friend ‘sold him out’ by mistake.
The lass went on to reveal that her man had kept the affair so secret that he saved the side chick’s number as ‘mum.’ Of course as a lady, you can never compete with your man’s mum; and for this reason, Awinja had no problems with ‘mum’ calling even at 11pm while they were asleep.

Anyway Awinja then got hold of the alleged side chick and decided to get answers for herself. Just like any nightmare, the actress confirmed her fears about boyfriend cheating.
Unlike other women who would attack the lady, Awinja says that the girl was innocent since she had also been lied to by the community boyfriend; who lied his way into her pants.

Actress Awinja aka Jackie Vike has shared yet another confession saying that as a kid, her dad used to be a drunkard.
She added that other kids made fun of her because of this a thing that left her sad.
“My dad would sing when drunk and other kids would hear and see him. When I went to class the next day when they saw me they would then start singing the songs my dad was singing while drunk. It was very embarrassing. He loved his drink and would drink every day,” she said.

Comedian Awinja recently made an official introduction of her young son to Kenyans after she clocked one year.

Actress Jacky Vike popularly known as Awinja this past weekend celebrated her baby shower with fellow actresses, friends and family at the Lenana Mount hotel as revealed.
The heavily pregnant actress who is expecting her first child any time from now could not conceal the joy she had for having her friends attend the event that seems to have been an invite only ceremony. She stunned in a turquoise blue free dress while her friends came dressed in yellow outfits.
Among those who availed themselves is radio presenter Shix Kapienga, Neomi Ng’ang’a among other popular faces.
Judging from her theme color it is easy to tell that the lass is expecting a baby girl but one can’t be too sure.
Anyway, together with her boyfriend Jacky Vike has been trying to keep their personal life on the low but being a popular person has however made it a bit hard.
