Churchill Show comedian MCA Tricky remembers fallen comedian Ayeiya

Churchill Show comedian MCA Tricky will never forget how instrumental fellow comedian Emmanuel Makori, aka Ayeiya was in his career.

Tricky took time to honour his friend who died in a road accident at the peak of his career.

“Ayeiya was kind to every person during his last days,” MCA Tricky said.

“Ayeiya was not always on the show but he would come and advise me on what I needed to do. He gave me hope with what I had. I would call him every time I had a problem to ask for his advice,” Tricky added.

Rebrand

Tricky, who is planning to re-brand soon, added that he’s planning to change his direction with Ayeiya in mind.

“When I joined comedy, I did not intend to hustle with it but with time it has grown to a point where it is not mine alone, but also for my fans,” Tricky said.

“It’s Me Me’ is an event to unveil what next for me as a comedian because I want to start balancing my stand-up comedy with my online content.”

Churchill does the most honorable thing to Ayeiya’s family as fellow comedians rekindle the deceased’s memories in the most dramatic way

The events of last night literally brought back Ayeiya to life again, humorists rekindled memories of the deceased while cracking jokes.

Kenyans converged at the Carnivore Grounds for a special show dubbed Ayeiya Tribute Show. Former and current Churchill Show comedians were present to pay tribute to a fallen colleague in the best way they know – cracking jokes.

Chipukeezy imitated Ayeiya; he walked to the stage wearing the deceased’s lookalike flat cap and also carried a briefcase bearing the name “AKA”.

He cracked jokes the exact way Ayeiya would do when he was on stage at Churchill Show. Chipukeezy simply rekindled AKA’s memories in the most dramatic way.

Sleepy also made the audience laugh hard when he described how the departed comedian was in heaven with the angels.

All in all Churchill (Daniel Ndambuki) did the most honorable thing, he gave proceeds of the show to Ayeiya’s family.

“Have you got your tickets ready? Show starts at 6pm. All proceeds from this show go to Ayeiya’s family,” Churchill announced on social media before the show began.

The late Ayeiya’s funeral details have finally been shared

Comedian Ayeiya’s death has left most of his fans, colleagues and family members in disbelief, as nobody really saw it coming. We however hope that things will soon get better for all those who looked up to him as a hero, now that he is in a better place.

As his family plans to give him his final send off, we have learnt that his family will be holding a fundraising ceremony at the Six Eighty (680) Hotel along Muindi Mbingu Street on April from 18 starting at 5pm.

His funeral service will be held at Nairobi Pentecostal Church (NPC) in Karen on Wednesday, April 19, allowing his friends and fans to bid him their last goodbye’s a few days before his body is moved to Nyansiongo, Nyamira County where he will be buried on April 21.

It is indeed hard to say goodbye to a man who brought something different to the laugh industry’s table and though he is gone..I believe that his memory will stay alive for a long time now that he accomplished his mission on earth as planned by the Almighty.

Till we meet again.
