Babu Owino reveals why he started taking chang’aa at the age of 8 years (Video)

Babu Owino this past weekend gave Kenyans on social media a show that many will never forget.

For the first time the Embakasi East legislator narrated how his childhood in Nyalenda slums, Kisumu County was; as well as blaming it for his current violent behavior!

Turns out that Babu Owino did not have the usual normal childhood as his mother sold Chang’aa; an illicit brew, just to make ends meet.

Being the breadwinner of the family meantshe had no option but to hustle for her child! Speaking through his social media pages, Babu Owino opened up saying;

Babu Owino

Today I have decided to talk to fellow Kenyans heart-to-heart and in the course of my duties I have been engaging you on various platforms on social media and I sense your anger. I sense that some of you are hurt and some are disappointed with me. I am a human being like you,

About his mother, being among those who sold the illicit brew meant that their family often faced police brutality; and even at some point Babu went on to reveal that he watched them whip his mum.

My mother sold chang’aa. She did not sell chang’aa because she wanted to but because she wanted us to go to school and to get the best services. Police harassment was real, and I witnessed them whipping my mother

Tasting Chang’aa

Being a common drink in most slums, Babu says kids get to taste it when they are quite young; and since no one is around to observe what happens, Babu says he then got to have his first Chang’aa at the age of 8 years. He opened up saying;

Babu Owino with his two grown daughters

At around eight years, I tasted chang’aa. I did it because it was what everyone was doing around, and it was the normal thing to do. Out of influence, I had to take chang’aa. Since then I have been taking alcohol.

He however claims to have quit alcohol for a few months now; but we also can’t help but think this might just be another stunt especially now that many have been demanding for DJ Evolve to get justice!

“Yuck!” Babu Owino rejected, blocked and exposed by young lady he was hitting on (Photos)

Lady identified as Muthoni Mahiaini has exposed Babu Owino for sliding into her DM!

As seen on the screenshots shared on Onare’s page, it appears that Babu Owino took his shot with the gorgeous chocolate skinned girl – only for him to realize that all Nairobi girls are not the same.

According to Babu, he found this particular young lady to be quite beautiful as he sent a Direct Message saying;

Babu Owino exposed

You are so beautiful

Turned down

However unfortunately for Babu Owino the girl he had been eyeing did not seem impressed by his move; and the reaction did not make it any better!

On the screenshot, the lady went on to call out Babu for shooting Evolve as she wrote;

you have destroyed someone’s life forever!!! Shame on you

Owino

Well, having shot DJ Evolve and is allegedly said to be buying his freedom; Ms Muthoni did not want to be involved with a man like Babu Owino – but problem is, the politician did not take it so lightly!

Responding to the lady….as usual Babu Owino decided to throw shade at the lady and judging from what he wrote; clearly this fella does not take rejection lightly and seeing what his anger did to Evolve – Muthoni should count herself lucky this conversation went down in her DM.

Justice for Evolve

For weeks now, many have been asking Evolve to be given some justice by putting Babu Owino behind bars; but oh well, money talks louder and having justice on sale confirms that we might have to wait longer.

Muthoni on the other hand served Babu Owino on her page; as a reminder that money cannot buy you everything!

“Si mtu mbaya sana,” DJ Evolve’s dad fiercely defends Babu Owino, angers Kenyans (Video)

Barely days after DJ Evolve’s interview on NTV went viral and touched the hearts of many, his dad, John Orinda has come out in defense of Embakasi East MP, Babu Owino.

The expectation is that a parent would at the very least, defend and stand up for their child especially if they were a victim of injustice, instead of siding with the opposite party.

However, that was not going to be the case for DJ Evolve, popularly known as Felix Orinda.

DJ Evolve’s dad speaks

Speaking to the media yesterday, Mr John Orinda expressed delight in the major improvements his son was reflecting so far.

He was however quick to note that all this was courtesy of Babu Owino born Paul Ongili. Right from the issuing of medication to the medical staff that had camped at their home to keep watch of DJ Evolve’s health.

Since my son arrived home, I have seen improvement and there is medication he is being given and the person bringing those drugs is Babu Owino. He also provided the nurses that attend to DJ Evolve, day and night.

To this regard, Evolve’s dad showered Babu with unending praise, attesting that were it not for the financial and physical support the legislator has been providing, then the situation would have been worse.

All I can say is Babu Owino is not such a bad guy even though I am yet to meet him and have a talk. He has however not disappeared and I don´t think he will. I am also praying that Babu Owino helps us because we are not able to take care of Felix on our own.

Evolve recuperating from home

Before taking a swipe at Nation media for their exclusive coverage on DJ Evolve’s well-being that didn’t paint such a good picture of Babu.

I would like to ask the Nation media & the media to stop haunting him because when DJ Evolve keeps seeing his stories on TV it brings back memories of the fateful day.

Comment section

Well, Kenyans felt utterly disappointed by the DJ’s dad who had the audacity to pick sides and not of his son.

However, a section explained that Mr John Orinda had no choice but to praise Babu Owino, lest they foot the financial burden their son’s condition has caused.

“I cannot wait to get back on my feet, meet and entertain my fans!” DJ Evolve

DJ Evolve was recently discharged from the Nairobi Hospital after 5 months of being in the intensive care unit. Back in January 2020, Evolve was allegedly involved in an argument with Embakasi East that led to him getting a gun shot on his neck.

From the footage shared widely on social media; Babu Owino was seen pulling out his gun and firing at Evolve without a care in the world. Moments after this, the same Babu and his bodyguard were seen carrying a lifeless body in the corridor; and later on it was reported that he was rushed to the Nairobi Hospital.

Unfortunately, Evolve’s injury forced him to undergo several surgeries; as doctor’s hoped this would speed up his recovery process. Being alive is however something his family remains grateful for and now that he is finally home, their hope continues to grow each day.

New photos of DJ Evolve

Evolve speaks

After being discharged from the hospital, his mum went on to thank fans, family and friends for standing with them throughout. Although Evolve is yet to get better, his mum made it known that her son will not be having visitors. This is because of the orders given to them by Evolves doctors.

I know very many well-wishers and friends would love to come to visit him at home, but the medics have put stringent measures to regulate the people who can see him at a particular time. Home-based care has strict guidelines on maintaining hygiene

Surprisingly Evolve also had a few words to say; and this time around, he promised fans a good time in future as he plans to get back in his feet as soon as possible.

DJ Evolve finally discharged from hospital (Video)

Renowned disc jockey Felix Orinda, popularly known as DJ Evolve, has finally been discharged from Nairobi Hospital where he had been admitted for the last 5 months.

According to Mpasho, the mix master who plied his trade a B-Club, was released from the facility on Thursday, June 18.

The online publication reports that he was provided with an adjustable bed because he can’t walk. However, he can communicate albeit in a low tone.

DJ Evolve was shot twice in the neck by Embakasi East MP Babu Owino on January 17, 2020. According to reports, the two were close friends and the shooting might have been the result of a joke gone bad.

Why KoT wants Babu Owino to shoot his wife next (Photos)

Embakasi East MP Babu Owino knows how to annoy Kenyans on Twitter; and if you doubt this, then his latest tweet will leave you convinced otherwise.

A few days ago KoT decided to join in hands as they demanded justice for DJ Evolve who was shot a few months ago by MP Babu Owino. Twitter users went on to push the hashtag #JusticeForDjEvolve which left Babu Owino trending.

But thanks to his ignorance and arrogant behavior, Babu did not seem bothered or moved by this. To prove how much of a don’t care he is, the MP recently went on to share a tweet begging Kenyans to make him trend since he misses being discussed. He went on to tweet;

Babu Owino caught on red handed on Camera

“I really miss trending, can someone make me trend even if it’s negative please”

KoT offers suggestions

Seeing what boredom was doing to Babu Owino; KoT on the other hand decided to join in his game as they responded to his tweet.

Babu Owino’s tweet

Clearly Babu had nothing else better to do than pick a fight with the same Kenyans who hate his guts. As seen on the screenshots shared below, some fans went on to suggest he shoots the likes of Raila or others; that is if he was so desperate to trend.

Others chose to drag his wife into the messy exchange as they advised Babu to take her down; promising to make him trend for weeks!

DJ Evolve

In January 2020, Babu Owino was caught on camera shooting DJ Evolve over an unknown disagreement that almost cost the young man his life.

He has since been in hospital and according to his dad; Babu Owino seems to have abandoned their son in hospital! The bill continues to pile up but Babu claims he already has it sorted out!

CCTV footage of Babu Owino shooting DJ Evolve emerges online

Babu Owino might have just landed himself in trouble! We have confirmed that his official statement released on Instagram might have lacked some truth.

Babu Owino shoots DJ Evolve

STATEMENT BY HON. BABU OWINO ON INCIDENT
A few weeks ago, I made a public statement regarding threats that I had been receiving against my life. At the turn of the year, I reported an attempted assassination at the Parliament Police Station under OB number OB21/17/11/2019 at 17:28hrs. I have been living under the weight of intimidation and threats by my political opponents.

Yesterday was the culmination of these efforts by my enemies. While enjoying the company of my friends at a popular Nairobi restuarant, I was surrounded by a large group of aggressive individuals. In the melee, there was an exchange of gunfire.

I invite the relevant authorities to conduct their investigations without fear or favor and I remain confident that the truth will come out.

I urge my supporters to remain calm. I will continue to serve wananchi fearlessly. This will not deter me from supporting H. E Uhuru Kenyatta and H. E Raila Odinga in the journey to transform our country.

Comrade Babu Owino,
MP, Embakasi East and Leader, Youth For Africa Movement.

This is after the CCTV footage from B Club surfaced online showing what went down. From the video, it appears that DJ Evolve was talking the politician about an unknown issue before Babu Owino pulled out his gun shooting him without a second thought.

It is still unclear as what would have triggered the Embakasi MP to shoot the DJ in front of his body guard and the unknown lady standing beside him.

Video Emerges

After the shooting Babu and the same body guard as seen dragging DJ Evolve out of the club; probably to get him some medical care.

“Maybe she was calling my name during S~x” Babu Owino speaks after hearing Lilian Muli’s baby is a copy paste of him

While Lilian Muli is out here sending strong signal she’s single again but not ready to be a side chick, some are busy denying they were involved in bringing her baby Liam to this world.

Politician Babu Owino had a very cheeky response after a fan asked him whether he has seen Lilian Muli’s baby because he resembles him.

“Alafu umemwona yule mtoi wa Lillian Muli .mazee anakufanana vibaya sana ama kuna vile,” mose_ooro commented and Babu answered, “Maybe the mum was calling my name during sex.”

Not hers

The photo has been doing rounds on social media after Muli posted it. However, the baby’s isn’t Muli but belongs to Lillian’s close friend Cess P.

Interestingly, Muli posted the baby online while has been clearly avoiding to post her own who is barely eight months old.

Reprieve for weed smokers as Babu Owino supports proposed Marijuana Control Bill after ‘personal experience’

Sometimes in September, Kibra member of parliament Kenneth Okoth wrote to National Assembly Speaker Justin Muturi giving notice of introduction of a Bill that seeks to legalize the growth and use of marijuana in Kenya.

The proposed Marijuana Control Bill 2018 is yet to be tabled in parliament. For the Bill to be implemented to law, it first needs the backing of majority house members to pass through the various stages in parliament before the president could assent to it.

Meet Babu Owino the musician! Embakasi East MP drops first song with rapper Nebulazz

Babu Owino is surely a jack of all trades. The controversial Embakasi East MP is a firebrand politician, a lawyer and now also a musician.

For starters, Babu graduated from University of Nairobi with a degree in Actuarial Science. He pursued a second degree in law before vying for a political seat.

The MP is now exploring his music talent, Babu has worked fast rising rapper Nebulazz to drop a new jam dubbed Dis Gal (Kanini Kega).

Promote upcoming artistes

Actually the sole purpose of Babu collaborating with Nebulazz is to promote upcoming musicians. The song only features a few sound bites by the Embakasi East MP.

Babu also clarifies that Dis Gal (Kanini Kega) does not refer to Kieni Member of Parliament Kanini Kega. ‘Kanini Kega’ is also a Kikuyu word meaning small and nice.

Listen to the song below:

“I will not be deterred” Babu Owino sends a strong message to Museveni after he is banned from traveling to Uganda

Kyalenga Festival

Babu Owino
Babu Owino

Babu was supposed to attend Bobi Wine’s Kyalenga Festival on Saturday but the Ugandan government through the ministry of Internal Affairs quickly barred him from traveling to Kampala.

The Embakasi East MP issued a statement after Internal Affairs minister General Haji Abubakar blocked his entry into Uganda;

STATEMENT BY COMRADE BABU OWINO ON UGANDA TRAVEL BAN; I WILL NOT BE SILENCED!

I am in receipt of official communication from the Minister for Internal Affairs for Uganda General Haji Abubakar seeking to ban my travel to Uganda without special clearance from his office.

This draconian veto came just ahead of my trip to Kampala to attend the Kyalenga Festival yesterday. It is a backward and authoritarian response to my unequivocal support for Honorable Robert Kyagulanyi and the young people of Uganda against the tyranny of President Yoweri Museveni.

Honorable Bobi Wine and I remain brothers in ideology and no amount of intimidation will stop us from working together to liberate the people of Africa!

I wish to categorically state that General Haji’s ban will not deter me from agitating for greater democratic space in Uganda, Kenya and indeed, the entire continent. I will not falter in my pursuit for respect for human rights and the meaningful involvement of the youth in our nations’ affairs.

The arc of the moral universe may be long but it always bends towards justice.President Museveni must know that nothing lasts forever. He has overstayed his welcome and soon, the popular wishes of the Ugandan people will outweigh his use of force and violence.

I urge the youth in Uganda not to be discouraged from this minor set back,I will come to Uganda whether the guy is alive or dead.We will overcome!

Comrade Babu Owino,

Babu Owino walks out of court a happy man after God instructs rival to withdraw assault case against him

Babu Owino has been battling in court of law to prove his innocence after political rival Joshua Otieno Obiende sued him for assaulting him during August 8th 2017 general election.

Obiende had accused the Embakasi East MP of assaulting him at Soweto polling station. The plaintiff also claimed Babu prevented him from casting his ballot contrary to Elections Act.

On Monday September 10th Kibera court dismissed Babu Owino’s assault case after the plentiful told the court that he had reconciled with the firebrand politician.

Chinese national living in Kenya calls president Uhuru a monkey… Babu Owino responds

Kenyans On Twitter are calling for the immediate arrest and deportation of a Chinese businessman caught on camera calling Kenyans monkeys including president Uhuru Kenyatta.

The Chinese man arrogantly stated that he doesn’t like Kenya because the people are black, poor and they smell. He however said that he still have to do business with Kenyans because he only wants the money.

Blogger Robert Alai who shared the video online has since managed to trace the racist Chinese businessman. Alai says the Chinese national works at Sonlink Limited which sells bikes in Ruiru.

Babu Owino responds

In September 2017 Babu Owino insulted president Uhuru and he was arrested and charged with subversion and insulting the presidency.

Interestingly Babu Owino has responded to the video of the Chinese man insulting president Kenyatta. The Embakasi East MP says the racist Chinese should be deported back to China ASAP.

“I make this request as a father to a fellow father” Babu Owino pleads with president Uhuru to listen to the cries of Kenyans

The new fuel prices has increased the cost of living condemning more Kenyans to poverty. The cost of transport has increased and it’s also expected the prices of basic commodities will go up.

National Treasury Cabinet Secretary Henry Rotich implemented 16 per cent tax on fuel even after parliament voted to delay the implementation.

Babu Owino has since written an open letter to president Uhuru Kenyatta after CS Rotich went on with the illegal implementation.

Our society struggling

Babu Owino with Uhuru Kenyatta when they attended Mzee Jomo Kenyatta’s memorial on 22nd August 2018

The Embakasi East MP earnestly pleads with the president to reverse the illegal implementation of the 16 per cent tax and save Kenyans from the increased cost of living.

OPEN LETTER TO PRESIDENT UHURU KENYATTA ON SOARING PUBLIC DEBT & ITS EFFECT ON ORDINARY WANANCHI

Your Excellency,

I recall vividly that just over a month ago you made the prudent decision to suspend new projects until old projects are completed. While some circles were critical of this decision, as a young Parliamentarian, I welcomed it as a move that would instill discipline in the Executive arm of Government while ensuring tax payers’ money is well spent and accounted for. I also felt that the country had already over extended itself in terms of large capital intensive projects and needed some time to offset existing debt before moving on to new initiatives.

I have since then followed the trajectory of the nation’s financial management over the past few weeks with consternation. I note that during your visit to the US, it was made public that your government is borrowing the sum equivalent of 450 billion shillings for the construction of a six lane highway from Mombasa to Nairobi. I further note that in your visit to China, your government has taken on a further 380 billion shillings in debt for the construction of Phase 2A of the Standard Gauge Railway from Naivasha to Kisumu. This totals close to a TRILLION shillings in new debt in the span of ten days.

During this period, we have seen the Treasury Secretary, Henry Rotich, purport to implement an illegal tax on the people of Kenya no doubt to finance our growing debt obligations. I do not hesitate to call the tax illegal because Parliament voted to amend the Finance Bill and suspend the implementation of the proposed sixteen percent value added tax on fuel. Parliament is the supreme law making organ of the land as per the Constitution of Kenya 2010 and as such any attempt by the Executive to levy a tax not approved by the August House is both illegal and unconstitutional.

I therefore write to you on behalf of the young people of our society struggling on a daily basis to make ends meet. I write to you on behalf of our mothers, stretching themselves to the limit, to ensure their families do not sleep hungry. I write to you on behalf of future generations, to whom we have a deep and solemn responsibility not to burden with a hopeless future. I write to you in regard of the untimely sixteen percent value added tax on fuel proposed by your Treasury Secretary.

Your Excellency, as a young person and as a leader, I pledged to support you in your efforts to unite the nation and build bridges. I further pledged to help you secure your legacy in your final term as President in the spirit of your Handshake with my Party Leader, H. E Raila Odinga and indeed, in the spirit of our own personal handshake within the precincts of Parliament during your state of the nation address. I therefore take this opportunity to request you to assent to the Finance (Amendment) Bill 2018 and save our people from the difficult times such a tax promises.

We as Parliament have read the mood of the people and realized that the Bill as initially proposed would portend untold suffering amongst the most vulnerable in our society. Our people are already overburdened with the high cost of living. The introduction of such a tax at this time would only serve to make their lives more unbearable.

I make this request as a father to a fellow father, for the sake of our children and our children’s children, let us seek to find innovative ways to reduce public expenditure and wastage instead of raiding the pockets of ordinary wananchi.

I and the youth of this nation look forward to your positive response on this matter.

Yours faithfully,
Hon. Babu Owino,
MP, Embakasi East Constituency,Secretary General Kenya Young Parliamentarians Association &The People’s Watchman.

Museveni will be mad! Babu Owino’s savage response after Uganda’s minister calls him out for meddling into their country’s political affairs

A week ago, Babu Owino threatened to fly to Kampala and lead demonstrations calling for the unconditionally release of Bobi Wine.

The Embakasi East MP together with other legislators Jared Okelo (Nyando) and Gideon Keter (Nominated) took swipe at president Museveni during a press conference.

“We have been arrested before and do not fear Museveni. We will be taking a revolutionary demonstration to Uganda because it is high time things change in our neighbouring country. We cannot sit and watch injustices being committed in the continent,” Babu Owino declared.

Apologize to Museveni

Uganda’s Minister of State for East African Community Affairs Julius Wandera is calling on Babu Owino and the two other Kenyan lawmakers to apologize to Museveni. He revealed that he had written to the parliament of Kenya through Uganda’s Speaker demanding the three MPs to apologize.

Museveni should keep off

Babu Owino responded to the Ugandan minister indicating that he won’t apologize to president Museveni since he has already achieved his objective – the release of Bobi Wine.

“Museveni should keep off,I already achieved what I wanted which was the release of Hon.Bobi wine,” wrote Babu Owino.

Fashion faceoff: Who wore it better? Babu Owino and Jaguar can’t agree who between them is more handsome in a suit (Photos)

Sometimes in October 2017 Babu Owino and Jaguar exchanged blows at Parliament media centre because of Raila Odinga and Uhuru Kenyatta.

The two buried the hatchet following Raila and Uhuru’s famous handshake. Babu and Jaguar were seen rubbing shoulders in parliament building in March 2018 after their party leaders ended their rivalry.

Jaguar and Babu Owino seems to be getting along quite well, they are even forging new bonds making some people think they are now BFFs.

The two legislators recently met at parliament building and they couldn’t agree who between them was more handsome in the suits they wore.

“Man made suit,2.1 thread straight from Canaan.Hao wengine wamevaa ma Nguo,” Babu Owino captioned a photo he posed with Jaguar and other politicians.

“You were my favorite bro” Babu Owino disowns Steve Mbogo, reveals he supported Boniface Mwangi for Starehe seat

The race for Starehe parliamentary seat was contested by Jaguar (Jubilee), Steve Mbogo (ODM) and Boniface Mwangi (Ukweli Party).

Jaguar emerged as the winner even though Steve Mbogo moved to court to challenge the win. Babu Owino was rooting for Steve Mbogo because they are friends and they were also in the same party.

Now it turns out Babu was secretly supporting Boniface Mwangi. The Embakasi East MP confessed to supporting Boniface after he talked about his ordeal vying for Starehe seat.

“You run out of money midway and no one is picking your calls, so you start selling personal things to raise more money (I sold my wife’s car). You start smelling victory, but you have nothing left to sell and you go to a shylock and borrow some money (I did that too). Lose or win, the campaign ends with most candidates in debt. If you win (for those who bribed voters), you get to Parliament and your first order of business is to pay your debts. Then you realise your constituents expect you to pay maternity and school fees,” wrote Boniface in part.

You were my favorite

Babu Owino says he understands Boniface’s ordeal because he also went through the same experience when he first vied for Westlands parliamentary seat and lost.

The Embakasi East MP also confessed that he supported Boniface Mwangi during the race for Starehe constituency seat.

“You were my favorite bro.It happened to me in 2013 when I vied for Westlands Mp and auctioneers were very fast to take all my earthly belongings.God will see you through. One day I believe you will be there coz you have what it takes,” Babu Owino commented on Boniface’s post.

Babu Owino refuses to explain source of wealth amid claims he’s splashing 11 million to acquire Wazito FC

Babu Owino reportedly expressed interest in acquiring Kenyan Premier League (KPL) club Wazito FC. Nairobi News reported that the Embakasi East MP was ready to spend Kes 11 million to acquire the club.

Babu however came out to refute claims he was interested in buying Wazito FC. Speaking during an interview on Citizen TV, Babu explained that he would rather use the cash somewhere else than buying the KPL club.

“Purchasing a football club is not my priority now; I want to help my people. I would rather use that money elsewhere, instead of buying a football club. I would rather donate a part of that money to the footballers; at least to help them provide for themselves. I would also prefer using the money in educating my constituents and also help the youth empower themselves,” said Babu Owino.

Source of wealth?

Babu Owino refused to explain his source of wealth when asked about it. The Embakasi East MP instead said anyone had issues with his source of wealth should visit the DCI and EACC.

“I will never and shall never discuss anything about my wealth. Anyone with a problem about my wealth, the DCI is open and the EACC is open, go to them. My wealth comes from heaven,” said Babu Owino.

Babu Owino celebrates election victory after court upholds his win

The Court of Appeal has ruled that Babu Owino is the duly elected MP for Embakasi East constituency. Three judges of the Court of Appeal overturned a High Court judgement nullifying Babu’s win.

The three judges said Justice Joseph Sergon, who nullified Babu’s win, did not demonstrate how the violence affected the final outcome. They said the irregularities noted in the results did not fundamentally affect the final outcome.

Celebration

Babu Owino was quick to celebrate the court ruling. Nairobi Women Rep Esther Passaris also commended Babu on his victory in the court.

“Friends and allies that betrayed Matiba are seated closer to his coffin” Babu Owino’s speech raises eyebrows

Babu Owino has put on the spot people who betrayed the late Kenneth Matiba. The Embakasi East MP has raised eyebrows with his controversial speech.

The first funeral service for Matiba is slated for Wednesday at the All Saints Cathedral followed by another at Ihura Stadium, Murang’a County on Thursday.

It’s still not clear whether Matiba will be buried or cremated. Before his death Matiba is said to have made it clear that he wished to be cremated when he dies.

Babu’s speech

Embakasi East MP has prepared a speech to be read at Matiba’s funeral service. It has not been established whether Babu will be given the opportunity to address mourners but in case he does, his speech will rattle some people.

Below is the speech Babu has prepared:

SPEECH TO BE READ BY HON. BABU OWINO IN THE FUNERAL OF KENNETH MATIBA

Widow & Family of the Late Kenneth Matiba, The President,The People’s President, Deputy President, Members of the Clergy, Former Presidents, Cabinet Secretaries, Governors, Senators, Fellow MPs, Diplomats and Most important All Kenyans of Goodwill.

Good Afternoon, Ladies and Gentlemen.

I will be as brief as a cock on a hen.
Today we gather to mourn the passing of a lover of liberty and an irrepressible fighter for justice. Kenneth Matiba believed relentlessly in the power of truth, had the courage to always perceive the truth and possessed that extra courage of always saying the truth to the people. Matiba fought against injustices in Kenya and was brutalized and incarcerated many times by the senseless Moi government. Even as we mourn, no one here can doubt that these assaults and inhuman prison facilities might have contributed to his tribulations and untimely death.

Nonetheless, until his death, he lived the law and by example. Matiba was the nemesis of corrupt political elite and compromised members of the judiciary. He reminded all that tribe and party affiliations are no boundaries when it comes to fighting injustice. Matiba taught all of us through his actions that wealth can be constructively utilized in improving the quality of life of the less privileged and, that honesty and morals are valuable assets. It is now left for those of us in this valley of tears to continue the good fight. This is the only befitting task that would do Kenneth Matiba proud. ‘Sleep well, Comrade Matiba’

However, in his fight against injustices in Kenya, Matiba was betrayed by many friends and close allies;
Surprisingly, some of those friends and allies that betrayed Matiba are seated closer to his coffin than those that really cared about him and his ideas. MATIBA FORGIVE THEM.
Had it not been for the selfishness of some people here, Kenneth Matiba would have been Kenya’s third president and Kenya would be closer economically to the Asian countries our government keeps borrowing money from. MATIBA FORGIVE THEM
Matiba had the vision for a corruption free Kenya, but even the people who’ve converted Kenya into a free corruption zone are here and crying more than the bereaved. MATIBA FORGIVE THEM.
Matiba had the vision of turning Kenya into the land of opportunity, but even the people who’ve converted Kenya into the land of opportunism are here and will say how good and great Matiba was. MATIBA FORGIVE THEM
Matiba was philanthropic and always sided with the less fortunate, but even those that constantly torment the poor and grab lands and property belonging to the less fortunate will stand here and say how Matiba inspired them. MATIBA FORGIVE THEM.
Even as we pray for their forgiveness, may those that betrayed Matiba never know peace nor good health , but be tormented with itching without the benefit of ever scratching..

Yours Unapologetically
Hon. BABU OWINO, MP Embakasi East

Bahati reveals what he wants from Jaguar and Babu Owino now that they have reconciled

Sometimes in October 2017 Babu Owino and Jaguar exchanged blows at parliament media centre because of Raila and Uhuru. The two MPs have since buried the hatchet.

Babu and Jaguar reconciled following the handshake between Raila Odinga and Uhuru Kenyatta. The Embakasi East MP even ended his beef with sworn enemy Moses Kuria.

What Bahati wants

Bahati talked about Babu Owino and Jaguar’s reconciliation during a thanksgiving dinner in which he hosted at KICC. The gospel singer wishes to see Starehe MP feature his Embakasi East counterpart in a new song.

“I challenge you to release another song soon and if possible, call Babu Owino to do a collabo with you,” said Bahati.

Jaguar reveals why Babu Owino is more likely to defeat Jubilee candidate again in by-election

Jaguar and Babu Owino have reconciled following a cue from Raila and Uhuru. The Starehe MP says Babu Owino is more likely to crush Jubilee candidate in Embakasi East by-election.

Justice Joseph Sergon nullified the election of Babu Owino as the Embakasi East MP on March 2nd even after the court ordered vote recount which Babu won.

Babu has since moved to the Court of Appeal to challenge the nullification of his election. Jaguar however thinks Babu stands a chance of defeating Jubilee candidate again in the event that the court orders by-election in Embakasi East.

Jaguar revealed this as he spoke about his relationship with Babu Owino. He said Embakasi East has 60% Nasa supporters and 40% jubilee supporters.

“We have now made peace with each other and vowed to work together for the sake of our constituents and respective legacies. Starehe constituency is made up of 40 percent Nasa supporters and 60 percent Jubilee supporters, and the vice versa is true for Embakasi East. Babu and I realised what the youth in our respective constituencies care about is the availability of employment opportunities and a conducive environment for business – and not political sideshows,” said Jaguar.

No beef before the fight

Jaguar also reveals that there was no bad blood between Babu and him prior to their October 2017 fight in parliament. He explains the reason why they ended up exchanging blows.

“I knew Babu Owino way before I joined politics. We were good friends, and we’d never had a reason to fight before the October 2017 confrontation. If anything, I wasn’t going to beat Owino up, when I approached him on October 10, 2017 at Parliament Buildings. I just wanted to know why he had abused President Uhuru Kenyatta. And when I posed that question to him, he snapped and started shouting at me, saying there was nothing I could do to him. It is then that our confrontation turned physical.”

Babu Owino to Uhuru Kenyatta: Get me out of the fire now that you’ve reconciled with Raila Odinga

Babu Owino fell out with Uhuru Kenyatta when he called him ‘mtoto wa mbwa’. The Embakasi East MP was arrested and harassed by the police in a move that was interpreted as retaliation by Uhuru.

Babu has also been fighting in court to retain his seat as Embakasi East MP. The lawmaker’s woes is thought to be the work of State House to frustrate him for being a fierce critic of Jubilee administration.

Justice Joseph Sergon nullified the election of Babu Owino as the Embakasi East MP on March 2nd even after the court ordered vote recount which Babu won.

New dawn

Raila Odinga and Uhuru Kenyatta reconciled to the surprise of Kenyans. The two rivals announced that they had decided to forget the past and were going ahead to work together to forge a new path for Kenyans.

Babu Owino now wants president Uhuru to stop frustrating him in the wake of the reconciliation. The firebrand politician asked Uhuru to ‘remove him from fire’.

“Mr speaker as Babu Owino like stories in the Bible about Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego. Mr Speaker these three gentlemen were put in a furnace to burn to death. But Mr speaker they were put because they did not obey the king then. Mr speaker they came out of the furnace stronger. And Mr speaker i would like to tell the president Uhuru Kenyatta that he has put Babu Owino in fire, and he has burned and he is strong. I do not want to be stronger than this Mr speaker. Let him remove me from the fire,” said Babu Owino while speaking in parliament.
