The end of an Era! Bahati officially shuts down EMB record label, he explains why

EMB record label is no more, an announcement made by founder, Bahati. The trolls, the hate, the backbiting have seen the gospel artiste close shop and venture into something different.

Bahati started EMB to support gospel artistes and evangelize the word of God to masses. Unfortunately, the same people he helped, later came back to fight him.

Speaking on his YouTube channel, the family man expressed deep sorrow of the ills of the gospel industry especially in the last 2 years.

He adds that when his haters felt that the backlash he was receiving was not ‘enough’ they decided to take it a step further and instead launch attacks on his wife, Diana Marua.

Fortunately, the trolls only helped garner her more followers on social media.

Diana Marua

End of an Empire

Making his declaration, Bahati formally announced:

So today, I made one of the toughest decisions. And… that is…I am closing down EMB record label. This means I am officially terminating all the contracts I had with artistes and that is Weezdom, Denno and other new artiste that I was to support in 2020.

He revealed there was an artist from Rift valley he was set to sign into his record label but might no longer proceed with it.

EMB Founder, Bahati

The EMB record label CEO questioned:

What is the point of doing Ministry, while the same Ministry is being translated wrongly always, leaving you with a bad name. Is there any need to do this? Honestly speaking, in the last 2 years in Kenya, I have become one of the most talked about artist, receiving all the hate. But what is the need of receiving hate from the people I have supported from scratch?

It pained Bahati so deep to see that the same people he was feeding, were actually biting his hand.

Artistes who had grown into brands, through his assistance, would be the same people coming back to poke their noses in his business.

He called out:

Wickedness! Pretenders! The Bible says ‘pretenders are worse than murderers’.

Speaking of the Kenyan gospel industry that has not being doing well in recent years, Bahati attested it all to the division among gospel artistes.

Cautioning that if gospel artistes failed to watch out, they would eventually get outshined by kinds like the young gengetone artistes today.

The gospel industry is not doing good. That’s why Willy Paul alituhepa. Gengetone itatake over kabisa because they are united.

Award-winning artist, Bahati

Justifying:

That is why I collaborate with the likes of gengetone artists, Mejja, rather than singing with a gospel artist dressed in sheep’s clothing.

Next venture

After dropping EMB record label, the father of 3 will now be taking up philanthropic acts.

As for Bahati, guys from now henceforth, I will not be signing any artist. Maybe 2021/22 when God gives me the grace. For now, I will be doing an official launch of Bahati Tena Foundation that will be dealing with street kids and orphans and it will be up and running soon. My biggest vision is to take as many street kids as possible, back to school. That’s my new ministry.

Brushing off that despite losing so much by terminating EMB, his new vision is way bigger and better.

You just fought this vision and God gave me a bigger vision. My children’s home will carry more than 2,000 kids.

And to his fellow gospel artistes:

Let’s cut that crap and go back to God.

Closing off:

The best is yet to come. I love you all, God bless you.

¨Stop misleading fans!¨ Weezdom gives Mr Seed a stern warning against talking ill of Bahati

Over the weekend, we witnessed a crude battle between Bahati and Mr Seed as Weezdom now jumps in to give Mr Seed a stern warning.

During EMB´s rebirth launch, CEO, Bahati revealed how some of his signees have given him a run for his money.

Allegedly, Mr Seed and David Wonder owe him a whooping Ksh 6 Million+ that they are yet to repay.

So over the weekend, Bahati further revealed details about Mr Seed on NTV, who has now come out to call his former boss, ´a liar´.

Speaking to KISS 100, Mr Seed expresses:

He has gone on TV with allegations.

He is very disrespectful calling us boys.  I am not going to engage in petty fights.

In his mind he thinks I am sleeping hungry.

The former EMB records´ artist feels disrespected by Bahati´s move, articulating, that if at all he owes him, then they should confront each other at the police station.

IF YOU OWE SOMEONE SOME MONEY THEN THEY SHOULD TAKE YOU TO THE POLICE STATION.

Weezdom

EMB records´ signee, Weezdom has in the past beefed with his boss, Bahati before reconciling and joining hands at EMB´s rebirth.

Now, Weezdom comes out loud to tell Mr Seed to watch what comes out of his mouth because he should actually be thankful to Bahati.

According to Weezdom, Bahati has seen the two through a lot and at the very least, he deserves a ´thank you´ and not backlash.

He opens up:

Bro it’s the high time you guys stop all this drama and stop misleading fans.

I am a witness on the fact that you were really helped by Bahati and I am the one who talked to him in 2016.

Its just coz I can’t say everything here. Just stop this drama. I quit the drama because it wasn’t of any help so stop speaking ill of someone who helped you.

Even God knows. So you and Wonder just stop these stories because Bahati has really helped us.

He was asked a question and he answered BASED ON the truth. Where is your word of thank you in all these your statements??

Mr Seed and David Wonder tell me an artist who helped you WHEN YOU were down?

From left: David Wonder, Mr Seed and Bahati

And as he concludes:

I will just tell you one thing.

This man has been given the anointing of God to help you. So if you keep fighting him, you shall perish.

Gospel artist, Bahati reveals founding and managing EMB record label has cost him enormous financial handicaps

Just yesterday, EMB record label launched its rebirth at KICC but founder, Bahati emotionally reveals his loss of 6 M plus, while trying to manage his artists.

In an exclusive interview with KISS 100, the EMB records King shared how tough it has been to manage artists, who only bring few returns.

EMB records CEO, Kevin Bahati

Since the beginning of the year, the record label has witnessed artists walk out from the label, for one reason or another.

Mishandling and disrespect were among the accusations filed against the gospel artist´s record label.

Furthermore, his own blood brother dumped him.

Singer, Bahati and brother, Weezdom

However, a rose will never miss the thorns and he opens up on his enormous financial losses when it comes to managing artists:

I lost 6 million when trying to manage my artiste and even execute a project.

A song could cost me Ksh 450-500, ooo but fewer returns and it is okay.

So in the midst of all I spent a lot.

The gospel artist however, appreciates the unlimited support from family and friends who have had his back since his debut, ´Mama´.
